CG, welcome back to the fold! Glad Danny is doing so well. How are you feeling?

Feeling as sick as a piggy her at Camp SB. Also have a dilema that MIL is hinting that SIL is going to ask me to have her baby for one day a week when she goes back to work. Obviously we haven't told anyone our news yet so DH might have to confide in MIL. Feeling really bad about the situation...

    news?
are you expecting again septober? :D
    whats your date this time?

im still a fruit loop, but thanks for asking! :rotfl:

Don't feel bad - TWO babies is mega hard work ( and too much to ask of you anyway when it's not your own imho) three is just impossible .....I would have said no anyway myself for anything more than a few hours let alone a whole day - and every week - WAY to big a commitment - (maybe I'm selfish but in your position esp I'd be wanting to enjoy time with baby they grow too darn quick !)

Thanks, Tss. I did think it was a huge responsibility to take on until probably he goes to school  :rotfl:but I don't want to come across as being mean as I'm a SAHM :o. I'm just hoping MIL says something to her before she actually asks me ;).

  • SP, I read your post about aptimil yesterday but didn't have time to reply. Sorry.

We had this problem with Jack when he was on Comfort 1 (Cow and Gate version). Its thicker so we had the teat problem. Like you tried veriflow and bought size 3 and 4 teats, but they all drowned him. I was getting stressed feeding him, it was becoming an ordeal.

Then my husband came up with the idea of doctoring the teats. So we took a number 2 teat and a small pin, heated it over the hob and then wiggled it about a bit to slightly widen the hole. We then poured water into it and a normal teat and held them up to see how much faster it flowed. When we noticed some difference we stopped. As time went on we had to doctor it again as his suck grew stronger but not quite big enough for no. 3 teats.

Give it a try, at best it might help, at worst you have only lost a teat or two. Also we used Avent like you do as well.

    Good luck, HTH!

    Jen

Awww - they are lovely pictures Susan.

I'm finally gettting that problem tooth removed today. I've been in pain with it since February which has been getting me really down at times, so I'll be pleased to see the back of it. Due to complications, it's being took out under anaesthetic this afternoon. I'm a little scared but my Mam is going with me to drive me home. Hubby said he'd rather stay home and look after the children as he hates dentists!

Husband got a letter yesterday about the MRI scan on his knee. The original appointment was the day after we go on holiday, so it's getting done on the 3rd June now. Hopefully they will find what is wrong and be able to fix it.
Here I go again on my own....

    Hi girls

Becles, hope all went well yesterday. I had all 4 wisdom teeth out under general and it went fine. Think I was the only person my consultant had seen who put weight ON after having them out. I could only suck things for about 10days afterwards and OH took a week off to look after me. He spent all week making me Angel Delight and SuperNoodles - I've never eaten so much :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have a voucher for 10% off car & booster seats at Halfords until 29 June if anyone wants it. I'll post it out to the first who replies/PMs me. There's not an online code, it's store only.

We're off to the park this pm as it's lovely weather, then it's my cousins wedding tomorrow and Imogen is staying at Nana's all of next week  I'll be going over on Thursday night after work and OH will pick us up on Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to the break, OH really isn't!! She's 16 months old and will be absolutely fine, it's only an hour away if there's a prob, but he's being a typical dad (daddy's little princess!) about it!!

It went fine thanks. Sat in the chair and the dentist gave me an injection and said I would feel a head rush as if I'd drank a glass of wine too quickly. I got that, and the next thing I remember is sitting in a recovery room with my Mam! They hung onto me for half an hour as I bled a lot, so I had to sit biting on some gauze, but once it stopped, I was free to go.

Was quite sleepy last night and have been in bed asleep this afternoon, but I feel ok now. Can sort of half open my mouth and it's painful, but ordinary paracetamol are enough to dull it. It should wear off in a few days.

Had some more fasting blood tests done this morning and should get the results back on Monday afternoon. Blood sugar is still high.

Also found a lump so I got the nurse to look at it this morning. She said it's probably just a harmless fatty lump, but she said to see the GP just in case. I've got an appointment with her next week.

    Dropping to bits aren't I? :D

Glad you got that tooth sorted, Becles (which reminds me, I've got a dodgy tooth that needs looking at, but have a head in the sand approach to it at the moment :o).

Hope the lump is nothing to worry about.

It's funny, isn't it, you get to your 30s and feel like an old woman sometimes with all these things suddenly going wrong... well I do anyway! :rotfl:

Becles and Susan- theyr'e soo cute.

Adam is just over 5 months, is it possible he could be teething?
He is dribbling so much and anything he can get into his mouth he bites down on, including a ladies finger in the doctors waiting area the other day :D

Have been weaning him and he loves fish, potatoes and carrots. I bought a stick blender and depending on what we're having i'll whizz a little bit up for him.

He can roll onto his side now too which he finds quite funny.

He's still on infatrini milk but we are at the hospital on monday so will find out how long he will need it for. He's put weight on though as he's really heavy especially when in his car seat :D

Hope everyone else is ok xx
