Adam is just over 5 months, is it possible he could be teething?
He is dribbling so much and anything he can get into his mouth he bites down on, including a ladies finger in the doctors waiting area the other day :D
The average age for a first tooth is 6 months so it's quite feasible however Alice dribbled and chewed on stuff well before she got any teeth so they aren't necessarily signs of teeth.

(which reminds me, I've got a dodgy tooth that needs looking at, but have a head in the sand approach to it at the moment :o).

My friend was just saying during the week that she has tooth problems but has been putting off going to the dentist. Her baby is 10 months old, and I reminded her she was covered with free treatment for two more months, so it's best to get it sorted quickly. The thought of having to pay for treatment spurred her into making an appointment :D

I have a dodgy tooth too :o... actually it's more like three, but I HATE dentists to the point of panic attacks in the chair ... but free is free :money::rotfl:

Reason I'm here today - my baby had his first mosquito bite! I think - definitely a bite, though no idea where from as I keep him covered up and it's around his waist below the nappy line . Makes me wonder how to keep him safe all summer - there could be all sorts getting to him in the darkness of the nursery right now .

Yes, DS1 was 4 months old when he just woke up one day with two front teeth; he always got his teeth in pairs and we never ever knew he was teething, no dribbling, no irritation, nothing!
DS2 made up for that though ...
    That's Numberwang!
  • I am looking to buy a pushchair which will fit in the car, my pram is lovely for walking but not very practical for town and was thinking of either a loola, chicco for me or bebecar reverses... Has anyone any experience of these - I want one that will face me and most of the lightweight strollers dont:p

I just bought a cheap stroller for in the car. She's not in it for long, so I wasn't too bothered about her facing me.

I've got my proper pram for walking with the dog and local errands and I love it because Charlotte faces me. She sits upright in it now, and looks about all over the place and I point things out to her. We were about 2 foot away from a magpie sitting on a branch the other day and she was fascinated.

We also passed some teenage boys last week who were admiring the pram :D

It's Year 6 SATS week, and my son is off for his first exam in Science this morning. Best of luck to anyone elses children going through the tests this week

My 13 year old had Year 9 SATS last week. I swear it's more stressful for us than them!

My daughter is year 6 too and has SATS this week - not too worried as she seems to take it all in her stride, early nights this week though.

Regarding prams - i bought a graco mosaic travel system and hate it!! Baby faces away from me unless he is in his car seat on it but i don't like him to sit in it for too long. i took ages on deciding what pushchair to have and still made the wrong choice. I have bought a maclaren for the car which he is able to use when he is 3 months but am trying to find a cheap (as OH is going mad at me about pushchairs) pram that faces me which will be nice for walks and going into town and things. You would think as this is my fourth child that i would have bought the right thing wouldn't you?!!! A loola looks like a good option and they aren't too expensive to buy new if it is the only one you are going to buy and not end up with lots like me.

Finding things difficult at the minute - it's just a culmination (??) of everything getting on top of me, plus i have OCD which makes this time of year with my kids particularly hard for various reasons. Plus the house is a tip and i can't see any way of ever getting things mended, decorated, cleaned, etc. My baby is lovely apart from not sleeping for great lengths of time in the day or at night.

plus my son is now 9 weeks old and my back has started to get really bad an weak especially at night when it feels really bad. Sorry about the moaning

Hope everyone else is doing ok.
    now mum of 4!!!

    Morning all.

Dont know whether its weaning, the teeth are finally arriving or the heat but LO been really grisly the last couple of days... ended up asleep on the sofa with him again last night after waking 3 or 4 times and now typically he has had a nap for ages this morning (longest one ever at home ).. mixed feelings about waking him up but ought to really. What are your Lo's sleeping in at the moment, Hf's room is fairly warm and have window open a bit at night but sure he is too hot in sleepsuit.. I think my sister gave me some with no feet in so may try that. Plus I am sure he has a bit of heat rash on his tummy.

Should be working at home today but really cant be bothered with this weather.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

My LO has been grumpy in the heat too. Having said that we're back to grey and miserable here today.
