Bailey, your babies are so cute.

Becles, glad to hear that the end is in sight for you. I had a wisdom tooth out whilst pg, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I named DD in honour of the dentist :D .

Imagined horror thoughts - I [STRIKE]had[/STRIKE] have those too, thought that was just me.

Baby signing - how much does this cost. I am so often too scared to find out about things incase I balk at the price. There is a baby college once a week that does it, and I would love to attend but am scared to because of lack of £££.

This happened with baby massage too. I was finally reluctant to part with £45 only to talk to another mum who was doing it for free (or £1 a session), so I stopped. Its taken me 3 months to get myself on the free list, and we started last week - eventhough Samantha is tonnes bigger than all the other babies :rotfl:

My classes run for 10 weeks or so, and cost about £50 per term. Honestly, if we have another, I'll be doing them again - along with baby swimming.

  • Ah, Bailey, how sweet are your children! Hope you are keeping well x

Zoom, my local SureStart centre is runnning the signing class for free. Its a 5 week course and we have just completed week 2. I'm really enjoying it and meeting other parents! They also have the baby massage classes there too. Do you have a centre local to you? They are well worth a look.

Lu, Poppy is 6.5m and this course recommend from 6 months too. Not quite sure what Poppy thinks of it all but I'm having fun! lol.

jojo congrats on the birth of iris. The hormones will calm down eventually.

bailey what beautiful piccies. I really hope DS is as happy and contented with our new arrival. You seem a lot more settled yourself too which is brilliant.

baby classes - depends where you are - it was free for us to do baby massage cos the local surestart centre ran them. baby signing, i have 2 DVDs that i bought off amazon - each has about 40 signs on them. DS has watched them from being just over 6 months, so about a year. The ones i have are american sign language, but to be honest that doesn't bother me as it was for the 2 of us to communicate rather than with other kids. do a search on amazon and there are loads of them. I only went for the one i did because they had a website too with other words to on the video.

You have to be really patient with them learning it, as i said, we have been on with it for a year. We have had odd words like duck, milk, all done from him being about a year, and it is only now that he seems to have twigged that all these signs mean something, and of course, by now he can say the word mostly as he does the sign. I'd say he can do somewhere around 40, although only when watching the DVD. About 15-20 that he regularly uses. We just treat it as a bit of fun really, and sit together when the DVD is on and do the signs, or look out the window and do the ones for bird/car.
  • Bailey your children are very cute, lovely pictures :)

Elliot ate some cucumber today, not sure if he enjoyed it though :rotfl:

Alice eats the seeds out of the middle of cucumber.

  • I think that's the only part he actually ate, but he seemed to enjoy how it felt on his gums, poor mite.

Having sold my pram and replaced it with a stroller, I have just caved in during a moment of optimism and bought this:

Imagining summer walks through fields and by rivers... but being MSE, I got it NEW half price on Ebay :money:

(However it will probably spend summer in the cupboard while I watch the rain from the safety of the house :rotfl:)

    Hi,

I don't know how I managed to miss the threads here, especially when I was pregnant:-(
Anyway, I've got my little one now and would like to join you.
Zuzanna was born on 8th April and is a lovely, big and healthy baby girl.

I've got a question, I need to look into child birth trust funds, is there a thread somewhere comparing them? Or would you recommend some? What should I be paying attention to?

    Thanks a lot.

Hi Gazella - welcome to the thread, congratualtions on the birth of your daughter. I need this info too - my ds is very nearly 6 mths and I still haven't chosen an account - quite keen on a shares account - any idea's anyone?

Fac73 - he is very cute! My ds grimaces most meals at the first mouthful but then cries when we get to the bottom of the bowl  - not quite up to cucumber yet though. Love the new stroller!

IZoom - I have signed up for baby massage with our local sure start centre also (£1.50 a class - bargain!!) unfortunately there was a 3 month waiting list so ds will be 7 months old by then, if your experience is anything to go by he will be twice the size of the other babies!

Awww Fac, he's gorgeous, I just want to pick him up and cuddle him! I love his very cool hairdo. Can't wait till Natasha grows some hair instead of the tiny bit of fluff that she currently has......almost 12 months old and still waiting..... :o:D
