Congratulations Lu. I have a boxing day boy - born last boxing day (2005). Hope you're enjoying getting to know each other.

A top tip I haven't posted on here before was to keep some of that hand wash gel you don't need water with by the changing mat/area. My two always hated being changed and would go beserk if I walked away to wash my hands, so at least I could use the gel to clean my hands, give them a cuddle, then go and have a wash.

    Jxx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

    Hi Lu T

I do not have proper berastfeeding tops but wear a strappy vest with long stretchy straps under my normal tops I pull the vest down and lift the top up so everything stays covered and I can wear it with nearly everything I have Primark and asda both do the vest tops and I also layer up (great as we have winterbabies) and wear a cardigan most of the time when out. My mum got me a pashmina last christmas which again is very usefull for the initial latch.

RE: Breast feeding tops - I had one with poppers across the "boob line" which I thought would be great, but I found them incredibly tricky to undo / redo with one hand. I got much more wear out of a couple of long sleeve t-shirt type tops which were loose fitting enough to stuff my hand up to undo the bra clip and still covered up my ample stomach whilst fumbling about trying to clamp ds on. (you can tell I wasn't exactly a natural at the breast feeding lark!) I think these were from M&S, two for a tenner last year.
  • Congratulations to you for breast feeding your doing a fab job. I wouldnt worry to much about breast feeding tops. I breast fed my little girl for 10 months and just used normal tops.

I there congratulations on your new arrival, our 1st baby Daisy was born on the 9th of December 2006. I was washing the dishes and one of our pan lids exploded!!! It shattered like bus stop class does and I thought I had wet myself with fright but it was her kicking her way out, it must have been the noise startled her:rotfl:

She was born at 9.46am and we were home by 7pm and we were only that late as when we went out to the car we had to call green flag as I had left the lights on when parking:o still I did have other things on my mind:D

We didn't get anything from the hospital I wonder if this was because we asked if we could go once she had been checked over?

Anyway I will be joining the parents club as the pregnancy one was a great help.

i'll join baby kennedy is 9 weeks old, went into labour on 26th oct at 5am, it stopped at 1pm, restarted at 6:30pm and went into official labour at 4am.
i went to hospital at 7am and she was born at 4:49pm on the 27th, did it all on gas and air alone!
i wanted to go home but they wouldn't let me as it was too late for discharge, i was home at lunch time the next day, the next one WILL be a home birth (MIL doesn't think they are safe so 'had' to have a hospital birth this time)

My name is Sarah and I have a little girl called Ashli Morgan and she's 21 1/2 months (2 in March.). We're expecting her little sister soon who's due on the 22nd January so I'm going to have my hands full!

My little tip is that wilkinsons have got BOGOF on their baby wipes (£1.24 a pack!) and they're really good quality!
