Hi Everyone,
Just have to boast that at 6.5 months old DD has finally rolled over :j:D:j
She's been almost doing it for ages but seemed happy to lie on her side and play but finally went the whole hog yesterday afternoon!
I think she's decided to do things differently as she has been sitting unaided for 3 weeks!

MDW, so has she actually been sitting up by herself for 3 weeks before she rolled over, is that what you mean? If so that's very a**e about face!!!
I was reading your signature and your daughter was born on the day we got married, a double celebration that day!!0 -
Hi Bailey,
That's exactly what I mean.
I will never forget your wedding anniversary. It was also a nephew's birthday too!
I was hoping for the 15th April as it would have been my Grandad's 95th birthday.

Alice is a bit like that. She's sitting up and even walks around holding my hands but she's only rolled over a couple of times which were probably just flukes. She just rolls onto her side and stops there. Apparently it's to do with their arm getting in the way of going all the way over.0

Congrats MDW. They just haven't read that book have they (as Susan quite rightly said)
Hubby was just commenting last night that Imogen isn't very forward with her physical development. I said she was fine, right on track and he said, "Yeah, she's very bright, but physicaly, she's not pioneering is she?" Talk about pushy parent!!
Just so you know, you can have a 20% off voucher for Mini Mode Boots' clothing range just be entering this competition. http://minimode.co.uk/shop/campaign/show/id/18.html
The voucher is e-mailed and you have to spend £30 to claim, but it you were going to spend anyway it'll be worth it. It's one of my fave clothing ranges for Imogen.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Hi everyone, looking for some advice, but I don't have long to type.
Jack has been unwell for a couple of days, he has a bad cough, sounds like a seal, he's snuffly and sounds like he's wheezing. I called the on call doc last night who gave me advice as steaming the bathroom, raising the cothead, paracetamol etc but we were still up and down at least every hour to resettle him from a coughing fit.
I took him to the doc this morning and she confirmed he has no infection just a viral thing and he sounds worse than he is because its sitting at the back of his throat as he can't clear it.
This evening i put him down, he's so tired but he's woken 4 times since 7pm. He really doesn't want to be awake but this last time he seems to be getting worse. His wheezing sounds louder and you can hear the muscus rattling around. He sounds horse and like he's losing his voice (he's been like that during the day too). DH has got a long day tomorrow and needs to be out the house by 6.30am, so I have volunteered to tend to Jack during the night. If necessary we have set up the travel cot in the lounge so I can camp on the sofa, to avoid waking DH loads.
I feel so sorry and very concerned for Jack, he is truely suffering and very tearful. There is nothing the medics can really do for him apart from what they have suggested but I feel so helpless.
At what point would you call the on call doc again during the night if you are worried. I don't want to be a paranoid mum, but I suspect I am going to be coping with him again tonight and all day tomorrow and he's is my first baby, so feel slightly out of my depth with what to do for the best. I don't want to make too much fuss if its a question of riding it out but I don't want Jack suffering if he's worsening. I wondering if he's worsening as its night time and generally these things do go downhill then.
This is more of an offload than anything I guess.0 -
On a separate issue, we have been offered one of these from freecycle

Has anyone got one, found it worthwhile or just a waste of time. How long did it take to heat a bottle? We heat Jack's in the microwave so wondering if this is going to be worth it if I can't breastfeed. I suspect the baby won't want to wait for too long and i'd risk Jack waking too if she was left for tooo long. I'm wondering if it would be quicker to nip downstairs and zap the bottle for 40 secs than wait for a warmer.
Opinions needed please....thanks.0
