Facebook and mobile phones are the spawn of the devil. Far too many people are incapable of using them sensibly.
OP - hope things turn out ok for you, it's a tough situation to find yourself in.

Hardly Facebook's fault. I use Facebook and I recently had an ex "friend" me on it. As soon as he made the request I told my husband. One night while I was on it this ex opened a chat to me. We chatted normally for a few minutes and if that was that I would have mentioned it to my husband in passing later that night. But when after a few minutes of chat my ex started getting maudlin and wishing we'd never split up I immediately told my husband about it. I explained that I wanted to handle it gently as the ex has had severe mental issues and letting my husband read the chat if he wanted I firmly but nicely made it clear to my ex that I had no interest in reigniting anything with him. It isn't the technology's fault if some people are too immature to handle what is usually nothing more than a bit of flattery and nostalgia.

Facebook is evil. Really? I'm astonished! Surely it's only yet another means by which people communicate with one another.

If one user is a lying, treacherous, twisting, unfaithful !!!!!! that is the character failing or weakness of the user not the means by which they exercise their stupidity.

In my day, it was letters and postcards sent to the address of a sympathetic friend, the odd hastily conducted telephone call in the nearest, out-of-the-way phone box...

Ah..Okay... I see. Time to ban the teaching of writing since it is the medium by which so many conduct their disloyalty, their adultery, their terrorist plotting !

Well hopefully you confronting him will help to jolt him into realising that this person is an ex and his main focus should be you!

Good luck and try to put this behind you.

Well if you believe him that is fine, but have they so much to catch up on that it takes 100 texts while he is at work but not at night when with you?!?!
