My previous boss went through something similar OP. She found out her husband had been texting back and forth with a female colleague of his, frequently and not in work hours. Instead of confronting him, she got a free payg SIM card, popped it in her phone, and sent both her husband and the woman a text, basically saying she (unidentified colleague of both of them) knew about them, and if they didn't stop she would tell his wife.

It nipped in the bud - just the threat was enough. She also originally found out by the number and frequency of texts on his phone bill.

I knew all his passwords too, then when I confronted him, he told me he would stop, but just changed his email password and I guessed his answers to gain access and he lied to me, because they mails never stopped. I was heartbroken. I never did see any text messages, they were there but he obviously wiped them. Have you checked his fb messages?

I think that having his passwords is ok, using them is another matter and would show a total lack of trust in my opinion, You OH deleting messages is normal too why does this warrant being suspicious for, I had a normal phone and would text my ex about 100 times a day and if one message can contain atleast 3 pages of text it could soon mount up. I am not saying what you OH has done doesn't sound dodgy but there could be other legitimate explanations just dont get making your mind up about things until you hear his side.

The OP does not need encouraging. She is trying to save her family.
