You can carry on with that crap as much as you like. Most of us can see a lot about you from what YOU are writing!!! And the general impression is that you are a sad, pathetic little person with nothing else to do with your life but complain, complain.
I never said, btw, that the OP didn't have a right to complain. But he has complained, got a refund, therefore it should be end of story. But no, it's not the end is it...because we now live in an age of 'give me more, more, more' where nothing is ever satisfactory for anyone! It's pathetic, and it's sad, and indicitive of how petty people have become over the last decade.
Now here's an idea, shut up and start accepting that other people disagree with you.
Good grief, you are a persistent and obnoxious person. Can't you understand that happened to the OP shows a severe failing on the part of the supermarket to follow basic food hygiene procedures? It's something that should be followed up the the greatest extent possible to make sure it does not happen again. It's quite possible that a failure such as that could lead to a death. You really need to get a clue.0 -

Never going to happen again!? With the amount of food items moved around each day by ASDA, and the sheer size of their business, are you really so silly as to believe that it will never happen again!?
Come off it - of course it is going to happen again.
The OP rightly complained, and was rightly compensated, THE END.
I don't know what is so hard for you to understand this.
But never mind, you'll be another one on the 'whinge for whinging sake' list.0 -
I think Asda should have apologised (in addition to refunding) at the very least.
In the OP's situation, I would be unhappy at the response from Customer Services.
It's not about 'moving on' and 'not letting small things bother you'.
I recently emailed Tesco to complain about some Finest outdoor reared, corn fed chicken breasts which were totally mismatched in size.
OK, it might not seem to be such a big deal but I'd bought them specifically for a special meal and they just wouldn't have cooked evenly. They weren't cheap at over £6.00 for the pack.
I received a phone call from the branch concerned and a very effusive apology, an assurance that they'd take the matter up with the suppliers/packers plus a refund.
How simple is that to do and what a difference in perception about how different supermarkets treat complaints.
OP, I hope some of the comments on here haven't put you off posting again.0 -

You really are as thick as two short planks, aren't you?
Yes, of course at some point they are going to sell out of date food again. The important point is to minimise the number of times that happens. That means that they need to carefully investigate every time they are made aware that they have failed and try and implement rules to ensure that the same mistake does not happen in the same way again.
That methodology - investigating every failure, no matter if anyone is damaged - is why, for example, air travel is so incredibly safe.
If it was down to irresponsible nit-wits who said "Oh, no one was hurt, just move on", there would have been massively more aviation accidents and many, many more people would have been killed.I don't know what is so hard for you to understand this.
ROPFLMAO!
You are the one who does not understand.
You have a child-like attitude to important safety matters. I hope to god you never have children with your irresponsible attitude. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Now now, who is the one getting offensive. You spend half your posts calling me everything under the sun, and you have the audacity to then turn around and say those kind of things to me!!!
Ironic.
But I'll ignore your childish insults and be the bigger man. xxx0 -

LOL.
Or maybe you've finally seen sense and realised what a fool you've been making of yourself.0 -

Not really - perhaps I could have expressed my opinion in a more 'desirable' manner, but I stand by my viewpoint (however idiotic you may like to call it) that the OP has complained and been refunded, which should be enough, and that now is the time to get on with one's life and enjoy life whilst one still can...
Appreciate that may not be yours, or most people's opinions, but it is my view and one I am entitled too.0 -

As suggested earlier in the thread, maybe it would be good if the next time someone gets food poisoning as a result of something like this, it would be you. It might knock a bit of sense into you and it might engender a more responsible attitude. I wouldn't want to bet on it, though. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Wishing that on other people hardly counts as a 'responsible' attitude either, does it.
I shouldn't need to point out the irony in your comment to such a sensible and mature person as yourself though, should I?!
Carry on being petty if you like though - anything that makes you feel better. xxx
Now either carry on disgracing yourself by making such pathetic comments, or shut up and move on.0 -

He's only suggesting that IF it were to happen it would be good if it would happen to someone who might learn something from it. It seems a very sensible comment to me. You do have a childish and irresponsible attitude to this matter. It IS important that people ensure that lessons are learned from mistakes. Quite why you pig headedly insist that this isn't the case is not clear.0
