They would have probably opened a few of the boxes in stock to see any problem relating to what said and if had as would expect more reports of such issue, they would have wiped the stock with that batch code and simply binned it !!!!!
If stock looked okay then panic over.......
If so upset contact store manager directly and ask for reassurance they would do as I posted and that they were aware, but you will probably find refered to home delivery manager who will be aware, they are pretty efficient and I had similar problem with another product and as much as upset it was resolved on that issue and they were able to reasure me at call centre level that they take it seriously.

If they defrosted and then put back in the freezer they'd look normal, but these sound more like they've been left out (fallen off in the warehouse somewhere and not been seen for a few days?) a while and then put in the freezer.
so either they were left for a few days to go moulder eg covered up or left on a shelf and put back into the freezer.0 -

Evidence suggests otherwise.
The word is in the filter to stop people calling each other "b1tch".
Only a particularly snively five year old girl (and you) would object to its use as in this thread.
Time to man up and stop whining. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Trading Standards should be interested in this. I assume you have kept them.0

I have clients who are partially sighted and this could be dangerous, wouldn't necessarily check the date on a fresh delivery!0

I think writing in might get the OP some goodwill vouchers.
A few years back, my mum took back some liver which turned green when cooking, can't remember which supermarket.
The manager said for her to pick up £10 worth of meat for free as a goodwill gesture.
I agree with most that these things happen and there is absolutely no way that something like this won't happen again, but I think Asda are a bit tight, just refunding with no small gesture on top.0
