As there is now 3 more questions to be answered before exchange.
the rented house is being remarketed tomorrow
I just cannot understand what is going on here AT ALL , im furious. She seems to be off sick at least twice a week:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

This Ive come to know...

Lynz, solicitors are meant to have someone covering their work when they are not available. Can't you ask to speak to the person dealing with his work? Failing that ask for the person in charge of the practice complaints procedure - there will be one. Act like the classic hysterical female and they will do whatever is required to calm you down!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Ive called them and asked who steps in - they are finding out, he didnt know.
Usually the secretary steps in. but she wont be able to deal with these issues.
I called the EA and asked them to call buyers sols to find out what the 3 questions are.
If they are anything, anything that is new, the whole thing is going to collapse as the rented house wont hang on. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Well its all getting very tense here. Spoke to my solicitor who has been on the phone all day to all the solictors in the chain. Tunrs outs our seller is trying to dictate the whole chain by demanding two weeks between exchange and completion. There is a row at the top of the chain over the deposit. People are getting very tetchy and it doesn't feel good - our chain is very wobbly. I am sooo stressed about this. All I want is a completion date so I can make sure my children can start their new school as smoothly as possible. I just knew things were going too well....0

I have fingers crossed for you....
I too am waiting for a call back, mine from the EA. Sols say buyer still hasn't instructed so I need to find out from agent if our buyer is even slightly interested in our house, and if so, why has it taken over 2 months for her to get a mortgage in place and she still hasn't instructed.
I want it all to be over & done with, I hate this not knowing. am I able to get the house I love or not!?! It's driving me crazy. I'm in limbo!0 -
well this afternoon has been very fun over at our end. So much so i just dont want it to end LOL
there were 4 questions, all of which have been answered previously. they were answered again yesterday by fax & mail
I called the EA back and told them if we dont exchange tomorrow, then fact, Im remarketing the property as of tomorrow afternoon.
I wont be messed around any longer. And when Im not amused, it aint pretty.
Oh said hes scared of me when Im in these moods :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I cant believe it still dragging on Lynz - you have the patience of a saint. Mt stress levels have increased in one week and everything is going to plan.... so far.
I agree you should definately pull out tomorrow if no exchange imminent. Your buyer sounds like he is playing for time. Why cant people be honest and say if they want to extra time ? Its the underhandedness that causes all the mistrust and stress. Good Luck and keep us posted.0 -
damn right Mrs Optimist. probably the reason why he hasnt said this is cos he got a 2k reduction off asking price as he wanted to exchange in 2 weeks. that was early november.

lynz, good idea to remarket, it means you take control of the situation and everyone knows you mean business. Remarketing doesn't stop your original buyer exchanging which is even better.
wigglygiggly, I think 2 weeks between exchange and completion will have its advantages. you can exchange and know you have 2 weeks to sort out things and will definitely be completing. once exchanged you can relax.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks Silvercar - but at the moment we have no dates whatsoever!!!! Once we have exchanged I will feel so much better - I have never been so stressed! If I am stressed, I dread tto think how you must feel Lynz...0
