I was hoping for a mid-December move but my buyer, and his buyer are not only both self-employed, but they also are using the slowest mortgage companies in the world. My vendors also caused a boundary issue (the house we're buying has some of the garden from the neighbouring house and there was an issue over a bit of land about the size of an A4 piece of paper). Hopefully we'll now move in January, I think everyone is just about ready to go now....Addicted to Facebook0

Hi poppycat, leftieM, Lynzpower and dkny, just wanted to say best of luck to you all for the new year! You haven't been forgotten. In new house now, had a couple of disagreements with the OH over furnishings but finally, internet set up so all is well again. Ha ha, doesn't take much to make me happy. Just wanted to say I will be sending you all good luck vibes....0

Thanks Angel, glad you got all settled in, heres hoping we all arent far behind you.
Best of luck all for 20070 -
out of a total of 150 dec completions we lost 4 all down to solicitor errors, one not applying for funds, dispite our legal chaser asking if she was in funds and receiving the reply yes of course we are, one still awaiting searches.......one had ftbr at bottom of their chain who went into sols with a cheque , that will take forever to clear over the hols. last one the sols wanted monies on account dispite our company agreeing to pay sols fees, this is normally taken off completion money when developers y solsf ees. so yes i feel for you all and our girls and boys who may have lost their christmas bonus through no error of their own. HOPE TO CLEAR OUR LAST 4 NEXT WEEK.......my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0

I accepted an offer on my house mid December & agreed that I would wait for my vendor to sell. He sold in one week. As that was then approaching xmas we both decided to do nothing until after christmas. Couldn't see the point as everyone will be on hols.
We have both agreed we want as stress free as possible move so fingers crossed.
There are 3 in the chain, so shouldn't be too bad.
I haven't found anywhere to live yet but will rent if I don't find somewhere suitable.
My first job Tuesday morning is to fill out sol papers.
I am guessing we will probably be looking at mid - late March ?? to complete.
This really is the last time I am moving!
