You don't need to have your tax disc in the window to go for MOT as the systems all tie together now. Yes, technically it should be displayed, but you can prove that it was bought and paid for. So don't be too disheartened, but don't delay getting it sorted either.

MOT requirements for a pass have just gone up (eg a crash bag with a faulty warning light is now a failure) However for the first few months you are likely to get a warning rather than an outright failure.
The new list of failure points are mainly minor "safety" indicator items that will surely add to the cost of doing the test. As they are "electronic", like dodgy central locking, there will be a load more mechanicaly drivable cars going off the road as the costs of fixing anything like that comes out at at least a three and sometimes a four figure sum.
Compulsory LED's for all internal & warning lights please.0 -
From what you've said about him on here, the rest of us think he turned out to be amazing.
I like to think so...not sure if that has been the result of parenting or just plain old stubborness on his part thoughWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Actually I am considering paying someone to come in and exercise with me twice a week. I can't always be relied on to get out, so gym a waste of time, but I do need to do more than I feel safe doing alone. At, I walk the dogs once or twice a day but need more, but also want someone there in case something breaks or even if I get too tired. Stupid I know. When I was competing fit I had a personal trainer twice a week and even then, when it was easy and easily motivated, he was a great great help. He was excellent running, because I used to get bored a lone a lot of the time and it was nice to have a healthy rivalry but focused totally on me, unlike with a friend when time needs to be shared to cater to both peoples training needs.
I have two days in London soon, but have to come home at night, i'm definitely training the first day but trying to decide whether to train or car the second. Edit in my mind last sentence is perfect follow on from previous paragraPh because of word train. To others the jump must seem bizarre0 -

Found my insurance renewal in the email spam and remarkably the renewal is not only 40 quid cheaper than the best new quote available but also 70 quid less than if I do a new customer quote with the same company. The insurance co are clearly amateurs who won't be in business for long....I think....0

About 40 years ago I visited this place http://www.andyfoot.com/the_southbourne_shell_house.html and took some black and white photos of it with an old Box Brownie. No idea where the photos are these days.
I can still remember standing on the pavement outside and taking those photos.0
