According to top gear (which I don't normally watch but do occasionally have some bonding time with DS watching cars) the reversing cameras are for checking out the 'assets;' of any women standing behind the car...

Was your horizon blue with a big dent in the rear RH wing?!

Not guilty on both counts :D

OT I note we are at 9990 and I believe 10k is the normal 'new thread' point. Who would like to be Carol this time? I think it should be Lydia as she is the most sensible.

Lir did the last one so I'd vote for Lydia too

Being all scientific and numerate and stuff, I think Lydia has the highest thanks-to-posts ratio in this thread, which is sound evidence of her good sense.
Or maybe other threads aren't into thanking so much and she just doesn't waste her time pottering around there because she actually HAS a life. :D

Never had a Nissan...but I once sold a brand new Micra when I had a part time job at a Nissan dealership.

Parking cameras? You what! My parking camera is the windows and mirrors in the car....and I can park in the smallest of spaces for my car (courtesy of living in a road where on street parking is lots of fun when football practice is on at the local park)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

No, they just think the NP should take turns.

My parking camera is 11 years old and has scars on his arm. He's pretty good at it. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Mind you didn't we once call our fastest train the Mallard :)

I remember clearly that it was reputed to top the ton. A Hornby in a shop window was the nearest I got to travelling on it. :( I was too young to see any absurdity in the name.

I travelled on the Bristolian and felt that it was only second best. Kids, eh? So ungrateful! :o
