:o Good spot. Long story but the dates are all right.

I've always been Dr Kool. I didn't change my name and it amuses me when OH is called Mr Kool. :rotfl:

No, but he wants one. He keeps the shells whenever we eat shellfish to use when he can build it.

I love all of PNs links- they're not that expensive really, but the idea that between you, you had eaten the contents of every shell on the walls is hilarious!:rotfl:

I know, I know. Expect seafood all who are not veggy and visit here. Worse was the ones he brought back from Brussels, which stank. He had to bag them eight times before bringing them back. I tried to tell him it was illegal, but the problem with lawyers is they will check things out themselves......

Have to say, some of the Belgian ones are really beautiful, purple inside. I know he's after my mother's shells too, things like, hmm I don't know how to spell but sounds like pahwah shekels, and the ones I can never remember whether in uk you say conch or conk.....

I saw some simply gorgeous stone this morning, labradorite I think it was. Thinking about it for the downstairs loo, very dear, but Dh would adore it. Looked like it had pahwah shell in it.

So since Lydia mentioned she thought my Dh was nice I wonder if on is lining her self up to tempt with shells, i have visions of her posing like The birth of venus. It's a good way to go about it, but he likes eating them too. :D:D

Very naughty, unless you are talking about she'll fish. Excellent romantic food for so many reasons, zinc rich for ejaculate, protein heavyweight for endurance and not over filling for comfort and mood. Any mood setting wualities of seafood are simply a minor bonus.

I love oysters. I cN't shuck them myself or I'd have some this week. What I am having is another thing brough back from Brussels, vegetarian caviar. It's ok.

    Who's being naughty now :rotfl:

I love fish, crab and lobster but not a big fan of scallops or Oysters.

    Oysters need Tabasco sauce IMO

Green Tabasco and lemon juice for me. Yum, yum. I like scallops too. I quite like crab but I'm not fussed with fiddle cracking, so prefer it prepped for me.:o we eat quite a lot of mussels too, they are so good and easy ...well, if Dh is prepping them they are easy, lol. Dislike those prepared ones though. Lobsters, same as crab, and also they are too little here and too expensive.
I love fish, but hate fish bones.:o I try to get past this but struggle. Eel is not for me, not roll mops. I just cannot imagine eating them, so cannot say I do not like the way they taste because I have never tried. I really, really love hot smoked trout.

When they brought in (awaits NDG's confirmation/wrath for correct/incorrect use of brought there:o) online tax discs...

It's quite easy. I'll explain it to you and then you won't need to worry about infuriating NDG or anyone else. :)

"Brought" is the past tense of "bring". They both have an R after the B.
"Bought" is the past tense of "buy". They don't have an R.

So imagine the tax disc was going to happen in the future - they would *bring* in the new system next year, so they *brought* it in whenever it was in the past, so you got it right. :)
I don't know how to spell but sounds like pahwah shekels...

    Perhaps you mean paua shell?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
