Wohoo! I have internet again, after my broadband getting fried by lightning (literally: it was the only thing fried, unlike a neighbour who lost their chimley).
Positives: you guys
negatives: 500 emails to read.
See you later. Are we in for another Global Financial Crash or is this just a correction? FTSE is down 3% today, and 7 - 8% on the week. Various talk that Italy will default on (ahem, I mean reschedule) its debt. Any thoughts kind people?
They will default. It's economics: if a debt can't be repaid, it won't be.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

don't suppose anyone has any tips on how to optimise a PCR? I can't get it to work and we're running out of ideas, we may have to start a shrine soon for offerings.0

I just read that and have no idea whether you are talking about technology, vegetables, a PhD rig, your car or something different. I do however know you aren't talking about F1 teams or shoes:o.
What is a PCR pretty please missk? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Science geeek alert
PCR=polymerase chain reaction. You take some DNA, some enzymes, you rig it all up in some mystical numbers and it will produce loads more DNA for you. Except I'm working on some fussy DNA and it's driving me nuts.

Anyways, mushrooms. Must be time to go hunting for them soon. sauteed mushrooms with garlic, butter and parsley. Perfection.0 -
Just asked DH missk. He's talking about growth mediums and spouting initials and talking about acids. Now I have two of you that I don't understand! I hasten to add he probably doesn't have a clue either, but he knows that I would never know that...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I suppose the well worn advice of ''have you tried switching if off and then on again?'' is no use here0

That reminds me, the self-service kiosks in the library have to be thumped every now and again because the bar code reader goes off. Basically it involves smacking it about a bit until it works. In manuals though it's called a "technical tap".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? ask him to explain using jimmy choo analogies and see how well he does
It's simple molecular biology, except i'm doing it with something slightly more complicated and shouldn't matter, except it's JUST NOT WORKING.0 -

I used one of them today
I took mine from the quick choice shelves again. Do the staff have fun putting those up/out? They are separate from the just returned ones, but I had a look there too.
Everysingle book I've searched for to reserve isn't available in the area, and I'm trying to avoid spend. Also I like that the quick choice shelves have books I might not normally give a thought to when spine skimming.0
