The Inspector has previously organised fantasy football here. Whilst I don't wanna jump into his seat & usurp him, I am sure he has much more important stuff to do. Should I start a MSE/Nice peeps league?
Yes you should IMHO. Just keep your allium and fungus hating to yourself please Mr Jelly.
Who doesn't like onions FGS* (except you of course Snr J)?
*!!!!!! for the NPT.0 -

Look I lost a lot of money in the GFC. I had to make it back somehow!

Mini league created. You will need to create an account, & can then apply to join a mini league.
The mini-league name is MSE
The mini-league password is boombust
I'll start a thread on it too, & PM the inspector:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I'll be your mushroom chum, lir
I just put that jelly guy on ignore and NDG, who dislikes both F1 and mushrooms, has been reported to the mods.
I don't dislike F1. Just mostly indifference, with a mild puzzlement as to the point of it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

A mate of my parents is allergic to onions (quite badly, the trouble-breathing type of allergy).
It's amazing how many things are in the same group - he can't have garlic, chives, etc either....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
GFC = Global Financial Crash? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I really should shut up. I'm going to alienate myself the way things are going...:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

you know, if any thing ever happened to dh I was going to call you and pull some boots on. You better hope wageslave is still available.
DH can't stand it when I pick at food, he finds is far less sexy than being overweight (I really hate being overweight moire than any of the pain/other problems that devleoped when I got ill and as it gets worse I become more annoying to live with). I feel the same way, I like a man who enjoys sensuality on a plate...varied, hot, spicey, slurpy, raw and fresh. The same with interests, I'd find it hard to live with someone who wasn't a polymath I think. That's because I'm a flibbertygibbet.

thank goodness!
BTW, I was impressefd to see in the green gorcers the other day a HUGE bottle, like a litre and a half or two litres, of dried mushrooms for about £7.50. Excellent value for mushroom lovers...I like fresh ones best, but that concentrated flavour of dried ones in a sause with fresh ones is formidable, unbeatable.
I'm getting excited about autumn cooking now. :j:j0 -

Never had a single PM offering though
I seem to remember some sort of record scandal in the 1960's, where people were getting payments for plugging the latest 7/6 worth of 7" PVC disc. Mind you the best way of getting a disc into the charts was to have the BBC ban it, like "Nutrocker" & "Je t'aime"
We all have our price? I'll do it for 50p! No No I have my pride, make that £1.50 :rotfl:
What do these placement people expect and how does what they want inserted in a blog or a twitter get past the thought police and the spam, scam cynics like me?

Here is the full list:
Interestingly The Kinks record Lola was banned, not because it was about a transvestite, but because it included "product placement" for Coca Cola. [I don't think the thought police understood the lyrics]
Happy innocent times.0
