Going on vacation till the 16th, bye bye

PS: Was walking the dog yesterday and met a westie called Hamish. Immediately had to think of McTavish.
Maybe I should spend less time on here.

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

lir I'm terribly fussy with food I'm afraid. Don't eat red meat, not a fan of mushrooms, garlic, onions. Not a fan of spicy stuff.

I'm a mare - never invite me for dinner. (I am aware of a friend who did invite me round, & their OH said - after they'd cooked & we'd left) that they'd never invite me again!

It has been very hot here the past couple of days, & the nights have been terrible. No rain whatsoever until today - Lot of heavy rain this morning, with spells of lighter rain.

Spent a couple of days on the golf course, as well as reading.

I have surprised myself in realising that I haven't bought any new music for quite some time. For someone with over 4000 cd's, that is quite a shock!

Have been adding a variety of books to the books list.:o

Alsio had a couple of days visiting York last week.:)

I love mushrooms, onions, garlic and red meat...cannot stand spicy stuff though.

At our BBQ, I did a poor mans version of hog roast, one joint of pork shredded slightly rather than carved, some apple sauce, multi pack of baps and some stuffing and Bob is your uncle....and it is satisfying, cheap (it fed six of us at the BBQ and then another 5 of us for lunch the next day) and very very nice.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    The mini-league name is MSE
    The mini-league password is boombust

I'll start a thread on it too, & PM the inspector:)

    I'm in!

I've never done this before so i may need help :p

What do these placement people expect and how does what they want inserted in a blog or a twitter get past the thought police and the spam, scam cynics like me?
Easily enough done..... I've seen some fabulous curtains what do you think? [link 1] ..... and they do a sofa to match [link 2] ... do you think that'd be too much in a room just 10'x8'? Or should I forget it?

Nice easy £20 that would've been

(P.S. Note... if you are a supplier of curtains and sofas ..... your links could be in the post above ...... send just £20 in crisp £notes to me ... and I'll direct and deep link to your products.)

Lots to say, but dashing off out for social drinks at t'abbey .... not sure if I'll stay 2 minutes or 2 hours until I get there, so here are the highlights:

    - Tutor is a bore who loves sound of his own voice way too much ... and sounds like Paul Daniels, which doesn't help.
    - It's been chaotic and too much time spent waiting/chasing for materials and hunting for equipment in a chaotic mess of people's work, tools and mayhem
    - Tutor didn't have enough precious metals, and was discouraging people from using them ... so I did get my hands on 10cm of wire... but everything else done in other materials.
    - I'd like to use more precious metal for a couple of quick projects tomorrow, but the assistant looked and couldn't find any ...

Overall: course has been fun, the people good, seen/learnt/tried some new stuff. Disappointed over the lack of tools to go round, the chaotic environment and the lack of access to precious metals.

So ... I am off for drinks, but the Tutor will be there and if it's another session dominated by his voice I might just snap and say lots of very rude words :)

Are we in for another Global Financial Crash or is this just a correction? FTSE is down 3% today, and 7 - 8% on the week. Various talk that Italy will default on (ahem, I mean reschedule) its debt. Any thoughts kind people?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

sheer panic here. I've been trying to open a uk based euro account for what we have left in euros....whioch is pretty much all we have left atm, and its been a nightmare. Partly things going wrong here. I'd feel a lot more comfortable even with it in euros, but held closer to home.
