Oh, I had my first persimmon a few weeks ago; amazing. A little sweet for my taste TBH but I'll have it again in fruit salad mixing it up with something a little more acid or sour.

Now I need to summon up the courage to give dorian fruit a go.

I love durian. tbh, I've yet to meet a person who isn't from around there who likes it.

If you can stand the smell, OH describes it as a creamy custard texture with a garlic taste. :rotfl:

....does anyone know what the rate would be for "corrupting" the nice people thread?
    I'd do it for £10 for a link ... and £25 for a short paragraph :)

Never had a single PM offering though :(

I really could not stand Avast, we got that free with the freebie laptop they gave out to those on a low income/benefits. Horrible anti virus that I just could not get along with, in the end, I removed it and installed AVG free.

    Strange.

Was it the lady announcer that you didn't like ? :D

I`ve never had any bother with it. It reliably updates itself, and only requires the user to register once every year, which is easy to do.

I must admit I had one problem with it about 3 months ago. They released a dodgy update which thought virtually every website was infected. Within an hour they sent another update which solved the issue. Apart from that it's been fine. I`ve installed it on several friend's/customers PCs and they all seem happy with it.

...member of the don't like mushrooms club here. ....(I'm a veggie now anyway).

When the mushrooms first appeared in this thread I was going to suggest a poll as I think that it's mostly meat-eaters that like mushrooms, not veggies.... and I figure if we did a poll you'd probably find 80% of meat eaters love them, and 20% of veggies.... which is annoying as it is meat-eaters who decide on vegetarian menus in places, hence there's always too many bl00dy mushrooms.

I've used Avira Antivir for the last couple of years, which seems to work well.

It just works in the background mostly which is what i like.

I also regularly use Ccleaner which cleans stuff up and keeps your internet fast and works really well. I run that a couple of times a week and it only takes seconds.

All of the above are free :money:

I've never heard of persimmon or dorien... you lot have no idea just how actually posh you are you know .... fruit to me is a banana, a pomegranate once a year .... and tins of pineapple.

We used to go PYO Strawbs when I was in my teens. Eat one, put one in the box ..... there was always somebody you could tag along with and "help".

I need food now .... options are a sandwich from the Co-op, chips from the chippy ..... or sit in the car with two tin foil dishes from the indian takeaway and get a spoonful of each in turn until one dish has enough spare space to empty the 2nd container into ... then sit in the car and spoon the food out from one container. I have a plastic spoon.

Already had sandwiches on Saturday (twice) and Sunday (twice), and Monday (once).... had chips last night. Lunch today was 2 giant cookies I got from the Co-Op reduced last night (remaining 3 in the bag will be lunch tomorrow). So I figure I could probablly justify an indian. Looked online and what I'd order would be £6.35.... but I'd have to eat it all in one go. Normally a curry/rice would do me for two meals.

Decisions...... chips again .... or curry......

I'd go for curry so as not to be too repetitive.
