I love whales and dolphins and anywhere I go in the world I look to see if there's a viewing nearby that I can get to.
Killer whales spotted here last week.

Which of the two authorities has so far come up with a statement of needs and a care plan?

Mega thread has been running here:

It was the Doc that made the call/arrangements, but they do that by calling the social services. It was for medical needs, which have now escalated. Old is currently sitting in a crisp white NHS bed/hospital :)
  • PN, that sounds horrific, for you all. I hope you've had a stiff drink.

Thinking of you and your mother.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I have no booze... so no stiff drink.

I do have the can of fizzy pop I opened 5 minutes before the phone rang, so that had to do .... it's only been sitting open for 9 hours.

Couldn't drink even if I had booze in the place.... what if .... the phone rings again and there's another random/unexpected/new problem? I'd have to be driving ... weather's wild out there too, total concentration weather.
  • Well, have a virtual triple whisky, then. Comfort but can still drive.

    I've been Money Tipped!
have a good day at work Michaels. :)

PN, my granmother used to go walk about too. She appeared fully with it, but had no idea she was a little old woman, she thought she was in young nurse's accomodation. She convinced builders and guests at the door she was ''just visiting'' and had to pop out to the car for her glasses/handbag, and then she'd go for a walk. Miles, and miles she went. But then would be lost and frightened and confused.

Poor Old. Its all o terribly sad. why oes the end of our lives often have to be so sad and frightening?

One for Gen. They are showing footage here of the humpback whale migration off the coast of Sydney. Saying its the best they've seen for 50 years. Wondered if Gen had managed to get out to see it.

I haven't although I was aware that this year is particularly good.

A friend does whale watching tours so I should tap her up for a cheap trip. She keeps saying that I should go out.

The best place in NSW to see whales IMO is Jervis Bay, which is in the ACT.

The weather here is atrocious BTW, horrible. Cold (20C) and wet. It's rained every day for about 2 weeks now. Gah! Still, the Aussies lost the Test match so things could be worse.

Thanks for the heads up. Last time I'd checked it they were 67-0. Thought they had it in the bag. Good to see they cemented their position even further before throwing it away, then nearly rescuing then deciding to throw it after all. Ha ha.
    Hilarious.
Think I'll drop my Aussie B-I-L a text.

I'm crying right now, I haven't been able to "switch off" for months, I never know what's coming next or when and I feel so wretched.

No idea what the outcome will be today either, I should be phoning to fnd out how she is/where, but I feel like !!!!, stomach's churning, I've a headache from sleepless night and I need to get my head in gear and have a shower and get dressed before I make that call in case I have to do something/go somewhere.

I am at least closer to the H building since I moved, so it'll be just an 18 mile round trip to visit, but wondering if the old will need to be in a secure place - and what happens then when they come back to 2011 and find out they can't wander off.

It was horrible. Aus went from 159-2 to 159-5. :rotfl: They lost 4 wickets for 7 runs. Haddin's wicket in the 2nd Innings has to be seen to be believed. He drove at ball that was too short to drive and was dropped in the slips. He then tried to drive the VERY NEXT BALL that was again too short and was caught at first slip.

I strongly suspect that the Indians are going to rip their bowling attack apart. It comes to something if Mitchell Johnson is your best quick. He's like Harmlesson only worse.
