I find once the AV programmes start adding on all the extras they end up slowing the system down to suxh an extent to make it unuseable anyway. AFAIK I have never caught anything nasty but then don't browse anyhwere very adventurous.

I also worry that some over zealous products will block the topcashback tracking cookies...
    I think....

its much less cold today....nice for us, but means we didn't clear the field of poo this morning. I could keep a chap busy five days a week full time now I reckon....if they were ok doing stuff in the garden/odd jobs as well as things in the business. Shame I can't afford it. DH got a job offer on Friday for a job he REALLY wants but for an unconfirmed time in spring.....

Sounds good. Will they hang on for him if he makes the right noises now?

I'm not poo picking for the sheep (!) but I discovered yesterday that I'd built my blackthorn pyre on an area that becomes very wet at this time, so burning it is proving 'interesting!' :(

    I adore Aga kettles.

I think the problem is he wants to give notice at current job tomorrow...if he tkes a short break between jobs, which is possible, we'd need a definite start date, and the interested people can't offer that...they want him bt ony when they want him. He has another interview this week, but it would mean a pay cut, which might be ok if there is a corresponding shift in work life balance and/or opportunities he doesn't have right now. nother really good firm has expressed interest but not sure wht pay is.

Would he be able to put up with the sadist bully for a bit longer if he knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel? It would only be a few months if that (I'm assuming if they want him Spring he'll need to resign Jan/Feb anyway to give three months notice). Or do they mean they'll come back for him in Spring, so it will be Summer by the time he can move?
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

not sure, all a bit vague really. The thing is that some of the city firms are pushing people out again. dh nows he'll be on sadistic boss's target out list if things tighten (sadistic boss had a personal vendetta against the partners that recruited dh and one is now in US and one left such was sadistic boss's bullying...and the guy who left is no pushover or green behind the ears guy). Partner in US might be able to move dh ut there for notice period if dh gve it soon, or maybe get dh sent back to italy (where they have been begging for dh's time but sadistbully boss will not allow dh to do Italian ork or work for an other teams (at least three teams have asked for dh in recent months)). Its really important to understand that dh's promlems are not with work (though sadist bully is implying that they are) but entirely political and extremely nasty.

A veritable star, thanks PN, you've saved me a load of agro.

In fact, I think that this second 'event' was a false alarm, it was a piece of foist wear from norton I got when I installed a more secure version of AcroReader.

The b*****ds, talk about **** your pants. After two days of work to clean the dang system... talk about bad timing.
It's nice to be useful :)
