I'm going through hell just now trying to upgrade itunes for windows to the latest version so I can update iphone software. Somethings corrupt on the updater so downloading from scratch and will then presumably need to set up account preferences again and resynch both phones.
Then I want to try and get some music library software that will organise and fix the labelling problems on the 120 gigs of MP3's I finally collated in one folder on a shared drive, but that are messy and badly labelled so my AV amp struggles to find what I want. The one I've seen that looks good only works with itunes I think though, and itunes never seems to work well with my netbook.
What a PITA.
Had enough, giving in and buying a mac for Xmas!!!“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Genius, ain't it?
Working on the theory that all the i-crap probably works a lot better on apple gear than trying to get it to work well across multiple platforms.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Meant to post earlier but if you enjoy watching music/musical instruments, BBC4 has the making of the scrapheap orchestra for the Proms. My friend is featured on it.0

Almost ready to move on Wednesday.
Be afraid. Be very afraid....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
One for Gen. They are showing footage here of the humpback whale migration off the coast of Sydney. Saying its the best they've seen for 50 years. Wondered if Gen had managed to get out to see it.
I love whales and dolphins and anywhere I go in the world I look to see if there's a viewing nearby that I can get to. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be in Gibraltar when a major cruise liner (Oceania or something similar) sailed out of the port while I was out on a dolphin watching trip. We must have seen a good 300 in total, the highlight of which was watching them surf the bow wave at the front of the ship, going a good 20-30 ft in the air. Yet nobody on the ship would have been able to tell. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

And if that weren't enough, income today £6. It crashed and burned while I was looking after the departed old - and the remaining old's still taking up too much of my time to ever get my head straight enough to do anything about it.
Everything's poo really. Even the old's cleaner said to me today that I looked old/haggard/tired/dead beat - and those are changes she's noticed in just the past 3 weeks. If she'd seen me a year ago she'd now be asking me where my daughter was.....
Youth's gone, old's gone, income's gone.
Poooooooooo.
I don't think I have managed to follow the twist and turns of the decline of "the olds" since you returned to care for them.
You are entering the "Alice in Wonderland" world where you will be told that mental problems cannot be an illness, when they cannot be cured.
A sort of spectrum from care homes, where we play bingo and go on visits, and the local authority pays for those with less than £23K in net worth. At the other end are "nursing homes where the NHS has to fund the "nursing" bit of the care, and hopeless cases get fed from baby mugs.
In the middle is a sort of no man's land, where neither the Local Authority nor the NHS want to shoulder the heavy costs involved in "managing" someone who is "irrational".
Which of the two authorities has so far come up with a statement of needs and a care plan?

Had a call, old went walkabout - weather was vile, evil lashing down rain and gales. Luckily strangers found the old and delivered to house just as I was calling a neighbour to keep an eye out (not that I thought the old would get that far). Fear was, between the departure and arrival addresses are open 100' cliffs, and dodgy main roads.
Purse/keys lost somewhere.
Old had taken a tumble and was undsicovered for awhile half on the road/pavement; arrived sodden so neighbour sorted out dry clothes etc and handed out lashings of tea/cake until I arrived.
Doc called, old now carted off to the horse pickle (as Brummies would say).0
