Went to see a band called Death In Vegas last night. Sound was really bad at the start. Got a lot better in the 2nd half when this was fixed.
Lighting man had a serious obsession with the strobe light though. Really overused it. This suggests:
He is technically inept/naieve & believes that a strobe looks "wicked cool man" so used it excessively in every song

Does the technique of flying to Eire and walking across border still work?
The people I know who did it were white which probably helps.
I did it out of the USA into Canada - caused something of fuss and that was in 1965.
Happy simpler times.
I've got to imagine in the current security climate that travel into Eire is monitored as it's in the Common Travel Area. Faroes to Shetlands wwould be as well, France via Channel Islands too, etc.
I read once that the French don't need a passport to visit the Channel Islands but not sure that's true now.
Because of the security situation ou need a passport as an ID to fly to Scotland or Manchester from London now IIRC. I had heard we might need a passport for ferries to Northern Ireland or Eire at some point but not sure if that's just an urban myth. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I hadn't looked until now. That brick wall is great above your now-not ceiling. The rooms I can see look exactly like the picture in my head of what your kitchen would be so you've described them well previously.
The cream separator looks pretty innocuous. Great feature though. These things always turn out to be the exact opposite of what you were expecting though. Everything in this house was totally naff and not of interest at all but, wow, was it all attached well! Mr Wilson clearly liked the belt and braces approach to everything.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Still around are they? Ive got the continuo sessions somewhere which I bought after dirge was used in a tv ad. Bit of a strange album, but "aisha" is quite good.0

Neptune City is awesome. The Contino Sessions works as a whole to me. I like albums rather than individual tracks.
The gig was more of a "listening experience" than a gig. Shame it was marred by poor sound. They've had 8 years off, then Richard Fearless decided to regroup.
The new album is quite dark, with some interesting vocals on it. Not essential, but worthy of a listen. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I'm glad I had described it wellThi weekend I pant to go in and mark out the changes in chalk and then see if I can draw a coupe of kitchen options on the wall and play house in there ....see how it would work so I can come to a decision about where th sink should be:D

Hrmph! The agents didn't screw me over the house, although they tried, but they did at the last (and only) farm sale I attended. Stopped the bloody auction at the point when I bid so that Uncle Ned could be wheeled out to demonstrate the item, which then went for nearly 3x as much.
Everything else was sold 'as seen.'
Mind you, I should still have bought it.....:o
I expect the locals entertain old Uncle Ned in the pub the night before or promise him a bit of "luck money" afterwards and the poor old boy gets a touch of the usual bladder trouble, just as lot xx comes up?0 -
What is a cream separator and how does it work? Why would you want one? What can you do with separated cream?
Why did it need to be set so firmly into the floor?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. it separates cream from milk, by centrafugal force.....i.e. a poor old milk made winds the handle fast (even so the degree its been stuck down too is ridiculous). Then you have cream separate from milk. rather than very creamy milk.

I think 10am is indecently early....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
