Are you up very early or very late, Lydia?

My sleep patterns are all over the place ATM. I had been asleep and woken up again when I posted that. I have since been to sleep again.
There is someone with an insolvent estate running a thread here:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3653439

    Your wisdom might be useful?

Thanks. I've had a look at it, and see that others have already said what I know - that the funeral expenses take priority over other debts, and that the widow is not liable for the rest of it, and that the estate will get a rebate from HMRC if he was paying tax when he died because of the unused part of his personal allowance for this tax year.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Is it "right to abode"? I thought it was "right of abode". Can somebody clarify?

    Sorry, right of abode.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

What are they planning to do with the UF now? And what are they digging for?

We are calling this ''enabling works''. Its to get the slate clean for part a of phase one:D next year (hopefully)

the floor itself has to come up at some point, but the real issue is trying to get the cream separator out (back left hand side, should be visable amoung the junk in some of the pics). the cream sepator is missing its basin, but I think I can get something that will fit to turn it into a salad spinner:A and keeping my eye out for a proper bowl so I can cream separate (also thinking of having a bit in the chimney for clotting cream at home). so they are digging to remove the cream separator. It apears to have been cemented in and over at some point with something harder than stone. bolts screwed into the base plate and floor have been cut off AND welded over Simialrly the mortar of the flags seems to it self have been subjected to some sort of act of God or dairy farmer to become a substance harder than diamonds....we've alrady sacrifced oneadjacent flag stone to no avail

the UF heating should be fine under the thick flags they say: it ill take lnger to heat up in autumn but will be heat holding and superb over winter.

He just wants to promote his subject. He's not really interested in being a personality. I like him. But I also like bird lights and did like Kirsty until she started raiding skips and making stuff out of felt. :o

And a four pack of Pepsi for £1, non? Or was that somewhere else. U've never been in a farmfoods, I don't know where there is one. Redditch maybe, but I don't go there either.

I can walk from Aldi through the market to Lidl across the car park to Farm Foods and through the underpass to a 24 hour Tesco on two floors.

    Is this MSE heaven?
Just incase NP's know....where should I advertise a tractor powered generator and at what price with a slightly broken but repairable drive shaft?

Trying to decide whether its worth selling a newish plastic il tank too, or keeping it, cleaning it out and using it to make our own plant food!!

Do you have farm sales down your way - often at Michaelmas as that is the end of the farming year.? All the old "junk" gets hauled out into a field or Dutch barn and auctioned.

Great day out for the kids climbing on the tractors - probably not allowed by elf and safety these days.

No it is not! If I had my way I'd never be out of bed before 10am.
