  • Tomorrow my old moves out .... and I begin the clearance/sorting out... EPC, EAs .... and the big long wait.

    Hope you'll be OK, PN.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Very wise. Although, had it been my mother, she'd have meant it as a safety measure (-:

My Granny advised me when I was a teenager to have "lots and lots of boyfriends" - but she definitely only meant it in a social sense, such as tennis / picnics / etc rather than in a more intimate setting.

Oh god....middle son has just let loose on his father's facebook profile, pretty much saying what a hopeless father he is and asking why doesn't he use some of his holiday seeing his kids instead of going away and having fun.

It will be me who gets it in the neck.....

From middle son, or from father?

If the latter, sod him. Don't take it. Say firmly something such as, "He's growing up. He has his own opinions. goodbye." And put the phone down.

  • No idea, but I hope so. The fridge is completely full of the stuff, and I STILL can't figure out why it's there....

Couldn't you just ask Mrs HM?

  • We have a small, dingy, damp and revolting shed or small building (about 6 ft x 8 ft) at one end of our new flat's tiny terrace. OH is getting all excited about it.

From his father, in his eyes, I am to blame for everything that is against him......he just doesn't see that saying to the boys that he has not enough holiday, or that his company does not allow holidays and then plastering all over Facebook about a holiday he is going on, makes the boys rather upset...especially as two of them know about current EU rules regarding paid holidays.

Or the fact that he has always said that he will be the first to buy eldest his first legal pint and now other things are more important to him.

Or the fact that he never gets in contact with them, they always have to contact him first and if they are lucky, they might just get a call back.

Or the fact that he only ever comes down here if something else is going on that weekend, like a party for a friend and never to just come and see them, they are merely slotted into his schedule (and usually at the bottom of a very long list).

Or the fact that they have not seen him since last December and then that was only for just over an hour as he was off to see someone else (he was down for 5 days).

Nope, it is my fault the boys have turned against him...in his own eyes, he is super dad.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Replace it with a cheerily-painted beach-hut style shed.... and put 2-3' of soft sand in front of it :)
