I wish I had known about this sooner! I had a overcharge the other day on a cars 2 toy, she went to check and gave me a refund of the difference but no mention of the £2 giftcard. I'll know next time tho!!!0

I find a lot of times the staff just hand over the difference until I ask for the gift voucher, and thats when they have a face like thunder. Asda needs to sort out this attitude, if they feel cheated giving the vouchers then they shouldn't offer them!
I always check my receipt and get the difference even if its pennies.
I have found that in tesco's I don't have as much of a problem with overcharging as I used to (maybe getting the message). Think of it this way, if you don't tell them then they won't know. My local tesco staff are always good with double the difference.
Yes, even when the Crawley branch gave them out, they were miserable about it & had to be prompted.0 -
Completely false about self scan - I would just have called the Duty Mgr. Whenever they have tried it on about not giving me the £2 giftcard, either the request to call the Mgr works and CS backtrack or the Mgr arrives and deals with the issue in about 5 seconds ie simply says 'give him a giftcard, it was a misprice'. They know the policy and don't want any hassle.
But why do CS staff keep arguing about it then?0 -

Will definitely ask next time I'm overcharged (shouldn't be too long a wait, they're always doign it!)
DEF, Crawley - Sussex one says they stopped ages ago to.0 -
Farnborough branch are always very rude about £2 gift card, I was made to feel dreadful in front of a queue of people a while ago and haven't asked since.0

yep that is why i stopped shopping at asda becoz of the constant overcharges and the way CS are so rude, i made a complaint and i went back recently and the particulr member of staff seems to be extremely nice! Another thing that annoys about asda is the BLARING MUSIC in the background so you cant hear yourself think! sainsburys is so peaceful and quiet but granted its way overpriced!0

Overcharged on 2 fudge bars this morning - quickly given 6p refund and a Gift Card . I did not have to prompt for the Gift Card - in fact I experessed surprise that it was still being given out . CS said they had always given it and it was by way of an apology for the overcharge. Service with a smile!ELITE 5:2
