nonatus, it makes you wary of how many of Asda's deals aren't programmed to go through properly doesn't it? You really have to check the receipt carefully or you can end up getting ripped off.I'm sure I've never noticed there being so many errors with the other big supermarkets deals.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0

I find a lot of times the staff just hand over the difference until I ask for the gift voucher, and thats when they have a face like thunder. Asda needs to sort out this attitude, if they feel cheated giving the vouchers then they shouldn't offer them!
I always check my receipt and get the difference even if its pennies.
I have found that in tesco's I don't have as much of a problem with overcharging as I used to (maybe getting the message). Think of it this way, if you don't tell them then they won't know. My local tesco staff are always good with double the difference.0 -

i thought if it said on the packet 20p and your charged 20p its not an overcharge, i guess the SEL being 17p/wrong still counts?
What it says on the pack is irrelevant
The only important bit of information is the SEL.0 -

Unless of course what it says on the pack is less than what you get charged. Best of both world s. :-)I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Speaking as an Asda "colleague" (they don't like to call us staff!), I completely agree. Most people don't mind giving them out because as you so rightly say, it's not coming out of our pockets.
There should be. If I remember right, it's company policy. I could be wrong though.
I've been with Asda for over ten years and this statement is very inaccurate. All kinds of things affect the annual bonus, not just gift cards for overcharges. As for being encouraged to keep the hangers, that isn't their policy. Staff are encouraged to ask customers if they'd like their hangers or not. And with regards to CS, that's likely down to the attitude of the staff member rather than anything to do with the actual bonus.
It's not a statement it's a comment, i didn't say i agreed with it, nor that it was factually correct, just it was food for thought from an ex staff member like i said, this is just what a friend who worked there quite a while back had mentioned to me, as she know's i like to 'money save' maybe she thought it was what i wanted to hear!Kat :money:0 -
I thought it was just my local Asda that was so rubbish! I always check my receipt, and to be honest, I'm more surprised when it's right than when it's wrong! Had so many gift cards from them I could decorate a room...Saving as much as possible to replace all the things I've had years and are on their way to the knackers yard :eek:0
