do you think some keep the giftcards???
I've still been made to sign over the refund so they have my details but not all give the £2 card.0 -
From what i can gather from a friend who used to work for asda they have a yearly staff bonus, and the least amount of overcharge refunds the better as it reduces the yearly bonus ( it's shared between staff when they have worked there for a year i think) also cost of hangers, they were activly encouraged to keep the hangers although you are entitled to them if you want the more they hold back the better the bonus, she hasn't worked there for over 3 years now, so things could be different, but it does make you think with the way the CS folk tend to be annoyed at having to give out £2 giftcards, makes you wonder.........Kat :money:0

Speaking as an Asda "colleague" (they don't like to call us staff!), I completely agree. Most people don't mind giving them out because as you so rightly say, it's not coming out of our pockets. Is there a price promise Posted on the wall in each store to point at ;so CS can see what your talking about ?No - they try and hide their own policy
But all CS staff should know the policy and if you meet resistance, call down the Duty Mgr
There should be. If I remember right, it's company policy. I could be wrong though. From what i can gather from a friend who used to work for asda they have a yearly staff bonus, and the least amount of overcharge refunds the better as it reduces the yearly bonus ( it's shared between staff when they have worked there for a year i think) also cost of hangers, they were activly encouraged to keep the hangers although you are entitled to them if you want the more they hold back the better the bonus, she hasn't worked there for over 3 years now, so things could be different, but it does make you think with the way the CS folk tend to be annoyed at having to give out £2 giftcards, makes you wonder.........
I've been with Asda for over ten years and this statement is very inaccurate. All kinds of things affect the annual bonus, not just gift cards for overcharges. As for being encouraged to keep the hangers, that isn't their policy. Staff are encouraged to ask customers if they'd like their hangers or not. And with regards to CS, that's likely down to the attitude of the staff member rather than anything to do with the actual bonus.0 -
i only go to asda now and then as its out off the way but i will deffo be checking my reciept next time :beer:0

No it's not per item, but per "wrongness" if you see what I mean??
Eg, I went in and bought 9 packs of mentos which were supposed to be on 3 for £1 and 6 packs tic tacs which were also supposed to be 3 for £1. Neither deal worked and I was charged full price for them all. At CS, she refunded me the difference and gave me 2 £2 gift cards, one for spotting the tictac mistake and one for spotting the mentos mistake.
I do very well out of Asda because of this deal. I have NEVER done a shop where they have got everything right, so I always leave with at least one gift card, which is disgraceful really because it means loads of other people not checking their receipts are being diddled :eek:0 -
2 weeks ago we bought 2 Dove Men+ Care deodorants for OH, SEL said the offer was 2 for £4, think otherwise they were over £3 each. When I checked our receipt went back in and told CS, they agreed it should've been 2 for £4 and she offered the £2 giftcard no problem.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0
