Asda misprices & discussion thread - claim your £2 giftcard for over-prices

Every over-price - no matter how small - at Asda qualifies you for a £2 giftcard.

Let's find out if these are usually national or not. I suspect they are - and get corrected at store level.

So we have a decent chance to find the over-prices and share that information.

Today's find: Cadbury Fudge, price-marked 20p on pack but SEL says 17p.

Sure enough, went through at 20p - that's a 3p overcharge.

Ker-ching! 3p refund plus a £2 giftcard. Worth a try.

Great spot I have heard the policy is a £2 giftcard for each overcharge but they are not very forthcoming with the giftcards.

Yup, pleasant & friendly CS girl reached for my 3p saying no need to check the SEL...until I casually mentioned the £2 giftcard

I've had a few overcharges at my ASDA. They either refund the item or give me the difference. I've never been offered a £2 giftcard

They used to announce it quite prominently on their website - but I guess somebody worked out they could save a few £thousands by hiding it away.

It is still Asda policy to give a £2 giftcard for misprices, though.

You just need to ask for it and I've only once been refused (ISTR quite justifiably but can't remember exactly what I had bought).

I dont know why they get such a cob on over giving out the cards....it doesn't come out of their wages! Jobsworths!

Dont forget to check your reciepts on the my supermarket thing too...I got my mum £18 back from 5 reciepts the other day, she was over the moon!
