My money has been refunded within 24 hours as Travelodge promised. Still caused a lot of inconvenience, but at least I've got it back.0

The panic is that they shouldn't of taken the money in the 1st place without peoples permission, im guessing it didnt affect you? And that no one got given any information if it was going back in or not. Personally my o2 phone bill direct debit got cancelled, so there was a panic other wise my phone would have been cut off. It is true I have been refunded today my money but has anyone thought that all of our money was sitting in a high interest account all day yesterday. Basically travelodge has gained money and the customers have a day without there money, you think that is right?0 -
Been refunded, but would expect an apology email at the very least.
My payment was only £10, so only a minor inconvenience, but I feel sorry for those who had paid a lot more.0 -

Its not a case of wasting money on cheap rooms, the problem is that money that had already been paid (back in June!) has been taken out again. Okay it is getting refunded but at the time nobody was aware of this (the only way anyone was aware of this was by reading this forum)
People have been left short of cash (and possibly incurred costs) while Travelodge swipped their cash and sat on it for a day.
I booked a room in the last sale, which I budgeted for last month when it came out. I didn't account for it coming out again at a random later date, nor should I have to.0 -
I also booked yesterday and no no payment has gone out ...weird?Greyer by the minute - Older by the hour - Wiser by the day0

Just to say that my money has now been refunded!!!!! Hope everyone will get their money back shortly.0

watchdog BBC I think....it's probably the only way to get to the bottom of what actually went wrong...and safeguard it not happening again....plus Watchdog love stories where financial hardship has ensued because of a ball s up...remember the last time they hammered Travelodge for selling more rooms than they had...and if you turned up late (even though you paid) they sent you to the Travelodge in the next town!No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0
