I've been kind of put off the whole neutral nursery thing since my Mum went on a rant about how much she hated them! I can just imagine us thinking that we were having a girl and going mad with the pink and then having a boy!
Hope your OH isn't going to burn himself out Flower, that's a heck of a lot of time on the go!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I think thats my worry! We have been told on two different occasions we are having a boy, and will be having another scan this week, but I'm still convinced once I start taking the tags off all the blue clothes we have we will have a girl :rotfl:
We cant really go too colour mad with our nursery anyway as the house is rented. For the amount of money we are spending (£100 for baby bedding!) I want to be able to use it again when we have more babies in the future!
I have already told OH he is working too many hours but he wont listen! Keeps rattling on about how we need the money to buy baby things.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

So feeling really good at the moment!
Woowoowoo! So glad you went Zig. Sounds like you had an amazing time too. Make sure your teeth don't fall out from kissing too much. (Did anyone else have that told to them?! My Mum always used to tell me I'd been kissing too many boys at school when my baby teeth started falling out!)
The Kindle is on my list. I've set myself little weight loss goals with prizes - first goal and prize is a KindleIt's terrible I'm bribing myself, but it's an incentive. I was even good last night and didn't eat after 7pm. Bad thing is I went a little lah-lah at Morrisons because they have milka chocolate for 52p and it's my complete favourite. So I have 5 bars of that in the cupboard
But I told myself I can have one strip of a bar on a Sunday night as my week treat. I'm worried OH will find me slumped next to the fridge crying in a couple days surrounded by chocolate wrappers. That sounds like something I'd do.
Those are crazy shifts Flower, sounds like what my OH used to do at his old job. It really does take it out of them, hopefully it won't wear him out too much. I'd feel a little off asking OH to paint the room too, but if he won't let you do it what can you do?0 -
Well you have all cheered my up with visions of Birdie attacking her colleague with a stapler, Cinny having a chocolate meltdown and poor Zig's teeth falling out! I have to say I haven't heard that one before!
Glad you had a good night Zig, sounds fun!
Poddle - we are just moving towns, only about 15mins drive. We're moving from where I grew up to where OH grew up, if that makes sense? He got promoted to another branch so we will be closer to his work, but I have been badgering him to move for ages as I hate my home town, its far too chav-tastic for my liking!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Yay Zig, glad you had a good night and woo for the kiss!
Good luck with the tickets Birdie, crazy how many people want to see a dress (me included hehe).
I got a neutral pushchair and moses basket so we can use them again next time although we will prob end up with another girl.0 -

I'm going to sound like a b*tch here but your Ex kissed someone while you were together, you could have kissed someone the minute after you broke up in spite and it wouldn't have been too soon! And you said it felt right, that's what countsI really am so pleased for you.
Has no one else heard that? All the Mums in my school used to say it 'Ooh, another tooth fallen out? Kissing those boys again?' I think it was just to scare us off kissing boys. I held hands with Ben W in Class 2 for about 3 seconds and that was enough of a rush for me thank you very much!
Glad we've cheered you up Shrimpy! I don't think Birdie would get fired for killing the guy, it'll be like something out of Depserate Housewives when someone they like kills someone they don't like too much, so they just cover it up and pretend it never happened.0 -

I've heard that one, we used to get told that! I was quite 'fast' as a 7 year old, had 2 boys fighting over me at one point! :rotfl:We had a 'kissing corner' and we'd go in there and peck the boys! Sadly that's where my desirability peaked, during secondary school no-one wanted to know!I don't think Birdie would get fired for killing the guy, it'll be like something out of Depserate Housewives when someone they like kills someone they don't like too much, so they just cover it up and pretend it never happened.
Ahhh if only killing was as easy as it is in Desperate Housewives! I love the end of the last series, what would you do if you found a dead body in your friend's front room? Of course you'd just stick it in a trunk and dispose of it! :rotfl:I'm worried OH will find me slumped next to the fridge crying in a couple days surrounded by chocolate wrappers. That sounds like something I'd do.
Hehehehe, I shall await a Tweet with that very confession!zigmeister wrote: »I feel so giggly and giddy and just on a high - it's so nice! I love that feeling when you kiss someone for the first time - when it's good anyway!
I think you've found your answer right there! If you're happy then sod everyone else!Totally agree with what Cinny said.

Phew, managed to get tickets to the Palace sorted! Waiting for my e-ticket to arrive before telling Mum that we're going for definite though!
Can anyone recommend free things to do whlst we're there? Might go to the Museum of Childhood but not really sure what else. Told Mum that we should stick to the free museums/attractions and she was like, 'Ooh yeah good idea. More money for shopping'... errrr, I'm just thinking 'Less money spent since I can't afford to go shopping anyway!'Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Eep, you're all chatty today!I'm going to sound like a b*tch here but your Ex kissed someone while you were together, you could have kissed someone the minute after you broke up in spite and it wouldn't have been too soon! And you said it felt right, that's what counts
I really am so pleased for you.
My thoughts exactly, but wasn't sure whether to say it! But Cinny said it first! Glad you had such a good time - are you going to see him again? If not, it's still a nice confidence booster
I'd forgotten that about your teeth falling outbut I had heard it, maybe it's a northern thing?
I had an Internet Date myself yesterday, just coffee and a cake. He was a nice lad but very very nervous bless him and that's not very attractive. I didn't feel a spark particularly and can't see it going anywhere but it got me out of the house at least.
Argh, hope all goes well at the tribunal! It sounds like it can't not go your way but fingers crossed for you. Like Birdie says it's so hard for employers - I'm sure we all know someone who doesn't pull their weight/is always on the 'sick' etc, when there are so many good workers desperately looking for a job. I mean here I am chatting to you guys on here, but I don't take the pee - my work still gets done and done well.
Well done on the ebay sales Poddle! My five things sold last night too, only made about £40 but still... The travel wallet thingy went for £10.50 in the end!! *confused, shruggy-shoulder smiley* (why have all the good smileys gone?!)
Cinny I thought you were happy with your weight? One strip of choccy a WEEK? I had a big bar of Galaxy to myself on Saturday night
Those are crazy hours Flower, seems like he's happily settled into his role of provider for you and the baby thoughGo easy on him with nappy duty
Brill news about the tickets Birdie, I'd love to be able to see all the embroidery up close (not that you can get that close I don't think!) Did you see the thing on the news where Kate and the Queen went to see it and the Queen was like "It's horrid!" (meaning the headless mannequin thing) - quite funny. If you're staying in Kensington I LOVE the Natural History Musem! And the V&A is very good (and in fitting with the dress) - both free! Not sure where V&A is, I think it's Kensington too.
Can someone explain the riots to me, I seem to have missed the news? I have to say I feel a bit sorry for the MPs with everyone complaining about them being on holiday - they deserve on like anybody else, but that said they have all gone at the same time and there doesn't seem to be anybody in charge! (Don't know if that has anything to do with the riots..)
PS I've got a LoveFilm question. The bit where you have the list of titles you want, and some of them you can watch online ... do they count as one of your choices for the month or are they an extra sort of freebie?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hehehehe, I shall await a Tweet with that very confession!
:whistle:Milka chocolate is just so bloody lovely though. I had my treat chunk last night, although OH argued I'd only just started so shouldn't get a treat. Wat!And I was happy with my weight, Tete. Then one morning I looked in the mirror and thought 'hang about!' Plus there's the factor of actually having to bare more in a bikini next year. Yikes!
Yay for getting the tickets!!Have a great time, sorry I can't suggest any free things though. Other than sneaking into places?
I was hot property in Primary School too - lord knows why. I've been with OH for so long now I forget people might actually find me remotely attractive. A guy asked me out last week which I found really strange! I think it unsettled OH a bit cause he's been really nice to me since :rotfl:
Shame about the date Tete, poor lad can't help being nervous but it does put you off a little! At least you're putting yourself out there (although, I really hate that phrase)0
