How annoying about the hair Shrimpy! Enjoy your night out!
Hello Flower, hope the pregnancy is going ok! Woohoo for finishing work, is a great feeling.Make sure you take it easy and take lots of time to do relaxing things!0 -
Yay for finishing work Flower! Hope you're feeling better and enjoy your holiday and maternity
Your trip to the Lake District sounds lovely Wendz - Poppy's first holiday!
Enjoy your night out Shrimpy. Bummer about the hair cut, but could be worse - I had mine cut this week and it's way too short (probably just to get rid of all the 'troll hair' at the ends) but it's really unflatteringMakes me look like a moon-faced early 90s lesbian - not the look I was going for! On the upside, I think it's a really good cut IYKWIM and will look nice in a couple of inches' time.
I've been off work this week and my laptop has been on the blink - I've felt positively bereft! Luckily not so bad that I considered going into work just so I wasn't incomunicado, but close...
It's been nice and busy on here - Dinah will be so proud! I'm sorry I missed all the chat - and Tete, I would have totally backed you up on the Brad thing. I always used to want to be taken in by the Willis family, ha! Archers - your trip sounds great!
Um, can't remember what else has been going on - LOVE Cinny's new tattoo and am tempted to join Twitter just to find out the real potty-mouthed Cinny!
Zig, LOL at you keeping your Lovefilm DVDs for so long - I was like that when I had the unlimited package and only managed one every couple of months, but now I'm on the cheapest deal, I want to watch way more! Typical. We watched Blue Valentine last weekend, and Tete, in my head you're like Michelle Williams, but taller! That's definitely a compliment by the way... And - snap! - we have Submarine this weekend, which I'm really looking forward to.
Ooh, is it Lara's wedding day today?! If so, hope it's been absolutely BRILLIANT and can't wait to hear all about it
Enjoy the rest of your weekend all! xLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Hey everyone, just sitting here trying to kill some time on my night shift (yay for overtime!).
I know how you feel poddle about being without a laptop. The battery on mine gave up and I had to wait 10 days for a replacement one (via evilbay) to come! Longest 10 days of my life!
Got my first Lovefilm DVD yesterday - Sex and the City 2 and have to say I'm pretty impressed with the service really. Will be posting it back on my way home this morning so I hopefully get another film in before the free trial runs out!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
We're staying here (because it's got a pirate ship in the pool!
)
Oh, I can understandThat hotel is gorgeous! Thanks for the info
But as you know with my fickleness, we've gone from America to sunny by the pool holidays! Argh! We've switched from Tunisia to Rhodes now, picked the hotel. Just waiting on the monies!
Loved reading those blogs. We're off to Ikea soon to get a new telly stand, so I'm tempted to buy lots of mixy matchy frames for like that for our little hallway (just on one wall though!)
I can relate with the Stranger Danger of PC usage! I was doing my daily 'open all the daily mail stories I want to read' when my Uncle asked to use my computer. He saw all the tabs and was like 'what are all these tabs for?!' and I just scuffed up a lie and said 'well eurrh, Daily Mail have this erm, new service. Where they push forward all the news articles they think you'll be interested in and err.. they come up in new tabs all day...' the shame! I lock mine now too :rotfl:
Archers - I gatheredIt's nice having all the MSE people on there. Did you get to Leeds in the end?! Love the sound of your Aussie trip too
I really do have a foul way with wordsTo be truthful, I'm constantly having to retrack my posts on here and delete 'swears' OH says our kids first word will be 'm*therf*cker' as I use it constantly. I don't get what the big deal is about swearing, it's all kind of vanilla now. The only word that makes me go 'Woah, hold on' is the C word. No idea why!
That blows about the hairdressers Shrimpy! But seriously, what can you do? I've had that happen to me before, but didn't feel like I could argue the point when I know I was right because they might take it out on my hair. At least you got some nice shoes
Is Blue Valentine good? My Sister watched it last week and said it was amazing. I might watch it on zmovies or something (used it to watch Bridesmaids yesterday, but missed the last 30mins as OH came home early. How sweet is Chris O'Dowd in it?!) no LoveFilm trial for us, unless OH decides he wants to use his card details. I feel left out. So I'm turning to piracy!
Also, I'm thinking of buying a kindle, I'm finally coming around to the idea of them. If I remember correctly, didn't you buy one for your Hubby CMD? How is he finding it? But that's an open question to anyone who has one.
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. The weather is so hit and miss here, but I'm hoping it keeps up as I'm stealing Percy Pugly today and taking him to a park near my Parents for a walkies. Being very good and taking peaches instead of buying an ice cream. Now I know we're having a beach holiday I'm more motivated with my Pinup Strong-ness0 -
Holiday sounds lovely Wendz
Totally with you poddle and ruby, I seem to break my laptop chargers all the time and I hate being without!
How was your evening Shrimpy?
Haha Cinny as if your uncle believed that. Yeah made it to Leeds in the pouring rain. Why have all the clothes changed to Autumn stuff, I wanted holiday dresses! Had a voucher for Jack Wills and found a dress in the sale (Originally cost about a zillion quid) then got to the til and I'd forgotton the voucher grrr, going to go look in the York shop today but with it being in the sale I bet they don't have it. Also weighed myself once I was at my friends and jeez, I must stop being a piggy! This was after pizza and wine though. Your holiday plans sound exciting! When will your cash come through?

Eek, was it Lara's wedding yesterday?! Hope you had better weather in London than we did, but I'm sure it was a brilliant day nevertheless! How did the typewriters go down? Pictures please!!
It rained so much yesterday morning that I actually thought I was going to lose my contact lenses on my run, the water was just streaming down my face - horrible! But I'm sure being sopping wet makes you a few lbs heavier and therefore you burn more cals
How annoying about the hair Shrimpy - hate it when it's your word against theirs. I hope when you rebook it's at a different place. Well done on the MSing though - I've never dared try it (and plus I live near Dinah and NIM so there are never any jobs going) My ebay items end today, everything has at least one watcher so fingers crossed!
Totally appreciate the Michelle compliment Poddle, I love her - not sure I see it myself, I maintain I'm Scarlett Johannsen but only in her ugly no-makeup films (Girl with the Pearl Earring etc)I've watched Submarine and Blue Valentine now but neither lived up to my expectations - too many good reviews I think. Might try to watch em both again before I send them back, sometimes it takes a second go. Really want Jordana's whole wardrobe now though (and actually a lot of Cindy's from BV too)
(and I'm sure you don't look like a moon-faced 90s lesbian!! You have lovely hair, wish I had a dark glossy mane!)
Archers, makes you wonder if you're putting too much 'out there' when people I've never met are randomly wondering how my toenail is coming on hahaha! Argh, how annoying about the voucher though! I've done the same on a smaller scale with a 50p granola bar voucher - bought about 3 packs of them and still it resides in my purse, probably out of date now!
Wendz your pics of the Lakes were lovely, glad you enjoyed it - bless Poppy 'paddling'!
Ahh, hurrah for no more work Flower! I always envy my pregnant friends the amount of time they get off work, more than the actual baby. How are you feeling in yourself, any more positive? You sound it
Don't spend too much in Ikea Cin, but let us know what you buy! I loved those frames too, would love to have an interesting 'gallery' like that, where guests would see something new every time.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Yes feeling good at the minute thank youbeen taking quite a lot of time out to do things for myself rather than just stressing about what baby stuff we need.
Looking forward to having some more time to get myself ready both physically and mentally!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Ha tete, it's only as I have pretty manky toenails myself so I relate to it!

You can come and paint mine if you want :rotfl:
OH has put himself down for that much overtime this month that it means he hasnt got time to paint the nursery! Need to get it painted so I can get the furniture in there and I am under strict instructions by him that I am not to do the painting.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Lovefilm is really good.Make sure you cancel in plenty of time if you want to as i didn't when i did free trial and was too late.I ended up staying with it though and really like it so itdidn't matter.
Cinny - hope you and Percy had a nice walk.
Flower - hope your OH gets time to do the nursery.Wish we had one but doesn't seem much point as we are hopefully going to move to a house next year. We are moving Poppy into her big cot this week when we get new washing machine so i can wash her sheets. Oh and don't worry yourself about stuff baby needs, they don't care as long as they are looked after.0
