Hope you had better weather in London than we did

It was ok in Berkshire yesterday but today I wish the weather would decide if it is going to rain or be sunny. Stop the switching mother nature.

Evening all, possibly drank a little too much wine last night so feeling sorry for myself today! Going to try and work through the surveys piled up in my inbox I think, bleurgh.

I think a girl I used to work with is now a hairdresser, might Facebook her and see if she will come to my rescue! Thanks for all the sympathy, I feel better after having a little complain

Might sign up for lovefilm too I think, we used to have it but OH would never watch anything I wanted to watch and officially has the worst taste ever in films, he thinks Snakes on a Plane was a masterpiece.

The weather here has been random all weekend, sunny one minute raining the next. We don't have a garden where we live now though so I sometimes resent the sunshine! Can't wait til we move, only 23 days to go!

    Hey Ladies

The wedding was totally awesome!! Thanks for thinking of me :D We had a really great time, everything came together and it all flowed perfectly. The little blessing was great - we got to say some really sweet vows and make everything really personal. Lots of people had a little cry during the service :o The party was great, everyone enjoyed the food and music. The venue looked gorgeous! I didn't get many comments about the typewriters but some funny little messages. I haven't got any pics yet, but will be sure to share them asap.

Such a cool tattoo Cinny :)

Super cool news about the payrise Birdie!!

Loving all this Australia travel chat, it's so exciting. Can't wait to hear more. Big hugs to all :)

Wow congratulations Mr and Mrs Lara!! It sounds like you had a fab day and I hope your mum didn't make you feel bad!
Any chance we can see some pics when you get them?!!? I want to see your dress!!

I've tried to get motivated for the challenge this weekend but it hasn't really happened.. I've sold 3 (out of 13 boo!) things on ebay though but only for about £1 each so grr and they haven't actually paid yet but we'll see - I hope I've got the postage right too..!

I've also done a few 1poll surveys and written a review to upload now which is in the highest paid category so thats good.. My name is not the same on there but I think I've found you shrimpy..!!

Anyways I better get up and go to work and stop letting myself get distracted!!

Congratulations Lara! Sounds like it was all worth it in the end and bet you looked amazing. Can't wait to see pics.

Shrimpy- i hate not having a garden too!

I am going to try and follow the flylady thread this week with my housework as am lacking motivation so need to hoover lounge today.

I am on £33 on OP so need to keep checking there and get that up to the £40 payout!

I was wondering what kind of reaction they'd get :D Sounds like you had a perfect day, major and massive congrats. Can't wait to see the pics, and the dress!!

Just finished reading about last nights riots in London. I just can't even think straight on the matter, my brain can't really process the reasoning. Hope all our London girls and their friends and family are okay if any of them are that way on. I really don't know the places of London and where they 'sit'!

Archers - I don't know if he believed it or not but when it comes to fibbing to my Uncle the only things that matters is he doesn't question it! :D

Although I don't have a munchkin I agree with Wendz, Flower. As long as your little one is loved and cared for, they'll be beyond fine. Hope you manage to get the nursery painted, I'd come lend a hand if I lived closer! As much as I complain, I love a bit of painting :o

Good luck with Flylady Wendz! I did that for a couple weeks, but now I do all the house everyday - tidy, dust, vaccum. Then I pick 3 extras a day. Like today, I'm steaming the kitchen floor, giving the fish tank a big clean and doing the skirting boards. Oh, my life is fun!

Huge congratulations Lara! Sounds like the day was lovely, more details and photos ASAP!!!!! :D

Did you go out on Saturday Zig? Hope you had a good time if you did, often the best nights are the ones you can't be bothered with! :)

Archers, your Oz trip sounds amazing! I was reading thinking, 'Ooooh I want to go!', so there's yet another country added to the list!

Glad you had a nice week in the Lakes Wendz, it sounds lovely and relaxing!

How annoying about the hairdresser's Shrimpy! I hope you get it chopped off soon, I hate the feeling of having too much hair and being desperate for a cut so it must have been gutting to find out that they made a silly mistake with the booking. I've got that feeling going on right now, was ready to get the kitchen scissors on it on Saturday! I get paid next Friday so I think I'll be running to the hairdresser's to get it lopped off on Saturday morning!

Hurrah for finishing work Flower! I really hope you take this time to look after yourself and get lots of lovely Flower-time, I have a feeling you'll be a little too busy for that in October! I'm very jealous that you get to furnish a nursery, I've got mine all planned (Cowboy theme for a boy, Princess for a girl!), all I need now is a bump! ;)

LOL at the moon-faced lesbian description of your hair Poddle, I'm sure that's not accurate though! Take some of those Hair and Nail vitamins to encourage a quick growth :) Oooh you're not wrong about the Michelle Williams/Tete likeness, although I had think hard about it as the first Michelle Williams that popped into my head was the one from Destiny's Child and I was like, 'But Tete's white and blonde?!' :rotfl:

Have you got a link to the hotel you've chosen Cinny? I love to see where people are going on their jollies! I'd love to see photos of your 'gallery' if you end up doing it, and that goes to anyone else who's thinking of doing it! :)

Tink you're doing really well with the challenge, I'm impressed by your motivation! :)

Hope you've dried out now Tete, can't imagine being so wet I thought I'd lose a contact lens!

Quite a nice weekend for me, didn't get up to too much, watched the England v Wales rugby match on Saturday (was bribed with Scampi Fries!) and embarrassed OH by announcing in the pub, 'Our boys have a case of the dropsies don't they?' ;) We watched Captain America yesterday and ooooh that Chris Evans is a big lad... movie was quite fun but afterwards I almost blew my mind with confusion as Marvel has been bought out by Disney yet at Universal Islands of Adventure i.e. the competition they've got a Marvel Super Hero land! How does that work?!

I'm also having a minor panic as one of the main reasons why my mum wants to go to London is to see The wedding dress at Buckingham palace and tickets are sold out for Saturday and Sunday and I can't book online for Friday as it's too close so I'm going to have to ring up which I can't really do at work... eeek, I really hope I can get tickets!

Also seconding Cinny's concern for the London girlies, the riots have blown my mind! It's totally mental. We're staying in Kensington this weekend so hopefully nice and far away from all trouble :)

The riots are mental. Glad OH hasn't had to be involved in any of it yet, he did have a missed call at 4 am sunday morning though from work wanting him to go in! Why people think being violent is going to solve anything I don't know.

Ohh Kensington, get you Birdie very nice! Hope you get the tickets to see the wedding dress.

Cinny - oh how i wish i lived near you, you would definately get a client out of me hehe.

Had to google Michelle Williams, but YES! She reminds me of Tete too!

We've picked this Hotel. (It's Holiday Village Rhodes in case your computer blocks the link, Birdie!) For two weeks and hopefully with a swim up room! I just want the cheque to get here this week so we can go and book it. Eep!

Glad you'll be away from the riots though, Birdie. It looks like something out of either an 'end of the world' movie, or there was one photo going around twitter where it looked like a photo from WW2 or something.

I was wondering if your OH would get called through to there Wendz. Urgh, I'd be up all the time worrying! Seems so senseless.

I love how people have been saying this to me with the safety of distance between us! :rotfl: I'm meant to be getting a call about another cilent, but I have a gut feeling they won't bother in the end. Oh wells! I'm helping my Gramps this week. He's still doing well btw :)

Oooh hotel looks nice Cinny, love the swim-up rooms! :)

We're only staying in the posh part because Mum got a Mystery Hotel deal! It's this hotel, looks nice but I need nice if I'm staying with my Mum, she's the loudest snorer ever, I'm going to have to drink a lot both nights to help me pass out so she doesn't keep me awake all night!

Glad your OH hasn't had to get involved in the riots Wendz. I just don't know how things get so bad so quickly! The mentality is insane, 'Oh great, let's go looting and burning down buildings!' It's so uncivilised, you don't expect it of our country!

ETA: Glad your Gramps is OK Cinny :)
