poddle don't do it!! Stay strong!! If you think, its not really £700, but £700+the interest you pay but if you wait a little bit, like lara said, you will have £700 extra in your pocket EVERY MONTH which is just staggering!! I do know that it is tempting though!!

I've got a lot of room clearing and then hopefully related ebaying to do later, especially with the free weekend!! Also looked at putting my old textbooks from uni on amazon but they dont seem to be going for much :( I probably should have sold them straight away grr!! The 1p things, i think I'll just put in the car boot sale box as it would be better to get 50p for them without the posting hassle and I'm planning a car boot sale anyway so its all 'stock'!!

I'm struggling for things for the challenge at the moment, but I'm planning on sitting down and totally jigging my accounts about and see what I can find. I need to get an isa for this year and I've sorted out where I'm going to get it so I need to see what I can scrape from different places for it. Going to try too to get about 5 reviews written this weekend! I can't think of anything to write about but ill find things I'm sure!! then I can post them this week rather than all in one go so that people can rate them gradually!!

Ruby, I'm definitely not jealous of your dissertation but keep on perservering!! Is it a masters one? You sound very dedicated being in the library when its summer! although saying that the weather here's not great today :(

I hope Dinah got to France ok and has a lovely time! All her mental to do lists must mean she definitley deserves a break!

Cinny your room looks lovely :) its so nice that even though its rented youre allowed to decorate and youve done really well doing it all yourself!!

Tete, I'm very jealous of that bag! It looks super cute!!!

Anyways, I'll post back on later, got lots to do and hopefully some of it will be towards this challenge!!!

Morning all! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend :)

Max was awake at 5.50am this morning, but to be fair he (and me and OH) had a 4 hour nap yesterday so he probably had enough sleep.

Am trying to restrain myself from applying for the Barclaycard but I only signed up to the electoral roll last week so I suppose I should leave it another week. Also I am only a part-time worker and have been at my address for 6 months so I probably shouldn't hold my breath. I should get OH to apply as well, he might be more successful being full-time.

Hello! Happy Monday... or... Monday, already?!

Feeling a bit achey this morning after scrambling about at Brimham Rocks, OH found a really awkward formation that he was determined I could 'conquer', took me ages and I had to have him pulling me up at one point but I made it, although I got covered in scrapes and at one point was stuck in the splits about 5ft off the ground but I wasn't allowed to give up! He's going to be the pushiest Dad ever!

OH's brownies were yummy, he made Nigella's flourless brownies but was shocked and disgusted by how much sugar and butter go into them, we had one after tea last night then had to go for a walk for 40 mins so he'd feel a bit better about it! They're now in a tupperware, cut into little pieces and wrapped in kitchen roll to soak up some of the grease! Bless him, I don't think he should bake again, it upsets him too much! :rotfl:

I finally signed up for the LoveFilm free trial last night and used the code AZDM1 for a £20 Amazon gift voucher, it says I can share so if anyone hasn't got LoveFilm and fancies an Amazon voucher, do it! :)

Trying to decide if I should rejoin the gym or not. I need to do something to get back into some semblance of bikini form as I'm going on my honeymoon next month (eeep!) and we've had an e-mail at work saying that the gym practically next door to me is doing a reduced rate of £25pm for employees, its just the whole getting back into it that's putting me off! That and with the hours I do now I'll be going about 5-6ish when it's really busy which is annoying. But they have lots of classes I can go to if the gym's too busy. Oooh I just don't know!

Very quiet on here today. Hope the aches are feeling less achey Birdie. I just feel shattered today even though I went for a nap when Max did. I had to get iron tablets off the GP as I am anemic so maybe that has a lot to do with it. I wonder how long it takes to kick in.

The price of the gym sounds good. I am rubbish at going myself though!

You get the amazon voucher even if you cancel at the end of the free trial?

We have just saved ourselves some more more. Have swapped from Virgin to Sky, going to save us £15 a month but we will be getting more in our package including movies bundle - not sure how that works, I always thought Sky was more expensive than Virgin! Got all the installation for free as well instead of £199 advertised on their website.

I think/hope so! It says on the letter that once the first disc has been despatched they'll send the voucher, I filled in my wish list last night so I'll be watching the post box with interest! :)

Great saving on the Sky! We don't have anything other than Freeview and I think we're the only people in all of the flats around us without Sky! So sad! OH's gutted that F1's going to be shared between BBC and Sky next year, he's really gotten into it this season and it's being taken away from him! I like it too as it keeps him quiet! :p

Hope the iron tablets make a difference CMD, it's rubbish when you're feeling tired all the time. :(

Oh well it would be rude not to then, I'm never one to turn down free money/vouchers :D

OH is so excited about having Sky, I could quite easily go without, but he really wont so I guess its a comprimise really that we can get tv/broadband/phone for £29 a month instead of the £60+ Virgin cost.
Virgin will hate us, we only rang up to reduce our package a couple of weeks ago and now we're leaving them!

Ooh could I have the code Birdie, I signed up years ago but with a different address and card so hopefully they won't realise.

Glad Monday is over and done with, none of us seem very enthusiastic! I've developed this mad plan as tickets for the Rio Carnival went on sale today and I want to go! Don't know whether to just book some and think about details later or try figure out a bit more of a plan first, hmm. Anyone ever been? Or to anywhere else in South America?

Just thinking, have we heard from Zig from her graduation? Hope it went well if you're lurking!

Good work on the Sky package Flower, that seems very cheap!

    Morning!!

Hope everyone's okay. I'm so so beyond happy it's cooler today. I don't cope well in English heat. I'll happily go out forever in Autumn and Winter but sun = time to stay indoors, eat watermelon and watch cartoons.

Are you feeling any better today CMD? Hope the iron tablets don't take too long to kick in. My Sister is anemic too, having to have blood tests and all sorts recently as she's near fainting all the time and has weird neck pains. I'm going to sound like a Mum here but I don't think she's eating properly. My Grandad said she needs to drink stout for strength :D

That's a great deal with your Sky package Flower! I can't wait for Nov when all our contracts are up and we can switch to Sky for the full package. Mainly because then we can have Sky+ Anytime. That looks awesome!

Are you joining the gym Birdie? I'm thinking of joining the one in the village for weight training. I told OH I want to be able to carry him around like a panda :D

Off to give blood this afternoon before I'm written off for another 12 months with the tattoo. Which I'm having done tomorrow. At 1:30. Without numbing cream  I'm so excited!!

Ooh you'll have to show us pics of the tat Cinny :) Hope it doesn't hurt too much.

Gosh it has been hot hasn't it? I couldn't sleep at all last night :( it's the hot feet that get me - I can't stand having hot feet!

Sky deal sounds good Flower, I loved having Sky when I was living with the ex - Dad won't have it as he hates Rupert Murdoch with a passion (been loving all the scandal recently) and I could never afford it on my own but never mind. (Augh I've just realised it was this day last year that we got the keys! Time flies eh? :()

Got a couple of bits listed on ebay on Sunday, no interest in a nice top and bag, but two bids and four watchers on a used and slightly battered travel document wallet!? You just never know what will sell do you?!

Might try the lovefilm trial with my newer email address, thanks Birdie - there are a few films I want to see and I could always use an Amazon voucher :D Got my free trial face mask yesterday too - I think that was Cinny who told us about those? Thanks! :)
