Yes - he is a great (ahem) helper around the house! He has the gift of destroying a clean room in about 5 minutes flat!!!

Hey everyone! Just signed up to Loveilm but used TopCashback instead so I'll get £15 in cold hard cash rather than the Amazon voucher.
Another day of dissertation writing today. Yes it's a Masters one, on emotional well being and it's mediation by the environment. Not the most interesting topic for me I'm afraid! Keep thinking it's Monday today because I've been at work all weekend and yesterday!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Cashback sounds good Ruby, I never even thought to try to get cash back, I wonder if you could get cash back and use the code for the voucher?! Got my first game rentals today, Dance Central so I can see if it's worth buying and a UFC Trainer Game for OH, looks a bit scary for me!
Ruby, the dissertation sounds...erm...interesting!What's VSP mean? (In your siggy!)
Just got an e-mail from our work's social club committee advertising a night of rounders next week, I love playing rounders! Although I'm a bit wary of playing with colleagues since I haven't played for years and I fear my hand-eye co-ordination isn't what it was, not to mention my fitness level!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Hi All,
Birdie I think VSP is virtual sealed pot? Correct me if I'm wrong or elaborate ruby!!
I've had a bit of an up and down day really, any moneywise I feeel like it all happens at pay day and then nothing happens except I moan about having none for the next month!! paid off my CC today though and send a cheque for an ISA but thats basically cleared me out for about 3 more weeks.. woohoo!
Ovre the weekend I wrote 1/5 planned reviews, I'm rubbish! I am on £11 and i want to get to £20!! i wish people on here still did them so that we could motivate each other but it does hardly seem worth it now
Birdie I love rounders and I think you should go! I bet noones played for ages but everyone will just have a good time! I wish my work did that sort of thing but I'm a bit too new to start suggesting it! (been there a year but relatively I'm a baby!) although...
I've got a new Job!!!! It will properly start a bit of a new chapter for me and I am very excited about it !!! I always saw this year as a bit of a gap year and its been a bit more than that really in terms of what I've done and achieved but I am really happy and its time to move on to start a proper career!! So, I'm moving house which is stressful as I have to find a placebut it is also exciting and I know that when I get sorted it will be fab!!
I like that dress Tete! its not for me (im waaay too short) but can imagine it looking fab on you!! why hide those super toned runners/climbers legs though!!?
Off to check onepoll i think!!0 -
Congratulations tinkerbel! Hope the move isn't too stressful for you.
Yep a VSP is a Virtual Sealed Pot. The thread all about it is here if you want to know more.
Just did my food order for when the folks are away and well managed to get 10 days of food for £18! It does mean there's a lot of the same meals 2 days running but its all healthy and cheap! Archers the code was hidden in my post, AZDM1. I've got an e-mail saying that my order has been posted so I'll let you know when the Amazon voucher arrives and if it's got any clauses!
Going to use it to buy Dance Central for the Kinect
The good thing about the gym is that there's no contract, I can cancel whenever I want so it's not like I'm locked in for a year.
I can't believe it was a year ago you moved in Tete! Wow, time really does fly. I agree with Cinny though, you're a new, totally brilliant, person now. :grinheart I know you're probably being a little glib about the life coach but my friend had a few sessions with one (kind of a mx between a life coach and a counsellor) and said that it was really good. Maybe having an impartial person to listen can help you make that decison of what you want to do next. Why not go on the Eat, Pray, Love tour of the world?!CMD says some very wise words too, she's a clever bean!
I like the Warehouse dress by the way, very you!
Achers, I say you should definitely go for it and buy tickets to Rio! I'd love love love to go, even though I don't really get along well with crowds and noise, I'd still love to go!
Duh, that's why I hate reading these forums on my phone! I've signed up so thanks for that, even if I don't get the voucher I've filled my choices with films on my day zero list so It'll be good to watch some of them.
All the sites with carnival tickets are all crashing and they're not even on sale yet apaprently, so I'm going to look out for somewhere reputable before I send stacks of cash off to some bloke and a dog in south america by mistake!
Sounds like the gyms a good idea, especially as you're not tied in.
Love the dress Tete, get it! Sorry you're feeling down, how do you feel about your job? Would you happily pack it in and go travel, or do you love it which might not work as well. You could always ask about buying extra holiday time and just getting away for a while if there's anywhere you fancy going?
Congrats Tink, wheres the new job? That's so exciting :T

Tete, I've just been looking for voucher codes for warehouse for you but cant find anything. Tried to download some iphone app for it but it wouldnt work sorry! My best bet if youre buying it online would be quidco 5% back?
(trying to keep us on money topic lol)
Lara, how long until the big day?0 -
Ooooh big congratulations on the new job and the big move Tink! :jHow exciting! What are you going to be doing?
VSP makes sense now, thank you!
Went to Ikea last night with Mum, had the usual storage lust overload! I just looooove storage of all kinds; drawers, cupboards, boxes, baskets... think it's because I'm a hoarder so I like to get more places to hide things, and Ikea's full of freakin' genius ways of hiding stuff! I mentally spent about £500 on bedroom furniture and I really really want it... but there's nothing wrong with having mismatched (old) furniture with drawers that refuse to open, a 2-door wardrobe with only one handle and a hanging rail that can only hold 6 items before collapsing...Maybe I can sneak in something new every couple of months and by the end of next year we'll have a nice room... although I'm not sure how I'd sneak a wardrobe in!

Morning Muffins!
That's amazing news about the job Tink, and in London! How posh! You sound so excited too, hope everything works out more than perfectly for you.
I've got so many butterflies today it's unreal. I popped to the shop yesterday to see the design and I can barely sit still. Although giving blood was a bummer, I have tinys veins so they just poked around and around before giving up and leaving me with both a massive hole, and weird line bruises. It honestly looks like I've been taking drugs. How lovely!
How are you feeling today Tete? Any more thoughts or ideas?
Ikea is dangerous, Birdie! Hoping me and OH will be going this month to get a proper tv stand to match our other livingroom bits (we have dark woods and generally natural colours then BHAM. Silver telly stand!) but I know it'll see us coming out the other side with a trolley full trying to balance hot dogs, ice creams and drinks on top. Maybe once you're back from your honeymoon holiday you could use the challenge money to buy new furniture? We have things from their Hemnes range (I think!) in our room, it's great
ETA: Has anyone heard anything from Zig? I tried to send her a message on Twitter but considering she normally replies I think it failed. Or she hates meHope you're okay if you're reading this! x

I've been missing Zig too, maybe she's skipped off on a last minute holiday or something? Or she hates all of us
Happy Tattoo Day Cinny! Make sure you do sit still when you're getting it done or it'll come out wobbly!Bummer about the blood though, they usually struggle with me too and it's a painful experience! It's normally easier in summer though as I'm warm so my veins are closer to the surface. My friend's a funny one when she goes because she's got really short arms (well, short everything really!) and they can never fit the cuff around her upper arm, she has to get the narrow belt of shame!
I've been looking at the Hemnes stuff for our bedroom, I really like the Birkeland stuff which looks quite similar but it's all too big (and pricier than the Hemnes) so I just now have to convince OH that white furniture will be a good thing. Normally I'm not a lover, but I think if it's nice (not too cheap looking) it looks good in bedrooms as it's bright, clean and neutral. I'm also sick of having several different woods all over the place, can't go wrong matching white!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
