Hi Zig! Was worried we'd lost you in the move! I love the shoes, they're amazing! I'm frowning at all high heels at the minute after wearing shoes that totally crippled me on Saturday night but those shoes are making me forgive the High Heeled Gods! How can something so pretty cause pain?!

Glad to hear that London was good despite the pain associated with it. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Hi Zig, can't believe you haven't seen who the winner is yet, I've seen their face about 20 times today! Those shoes are unbeliveable I'd never be able to walk in them! Hope you managed to enjoy London a little bit - try and think of the positives like "Well at least I can spend two hours looking at the pincushions in Liberty without him getting a face on"! - I went to London the weekend before Xmas and it was all snow and people having mulled wine together, I wished I'd stayed at home.

Poddle wasn't it St Swithin's day the other day?

Can any of you help? One of our colleagues is leaving on Friday to go travelling. We've had a collection and have about £60 to spend on him (we're a v small team!) - he was going to go to Australia so I'd found a website where you can buy vouchers for experiences there - like a boat ride round Sydney Harbour etc so thought we'd get one of those for him, thought it was a pretty good idea! But apparently he's not going there now, just Singapore. Malaysia and Thailand. And of course it's muggins who's been left in charge. Someone suggested just vouchers for clothes for his trip but I wondered if anyone could think of anything better?

How about currency, i know its boring but would be helpful. Or a good guide book for each place?

Thanks wendz - I presume he'll already have guidebooks but might think about the currency as an alternative to vouchers! :)

Currency - he probably won't have time to go to the shops before he sets off and I know its hard cash that I would want if I were him!

Not sure about free clicks as I never got into those, I was wondering whether Slice the Pie was still any use though? I have an account with them but never got past one star so gave up (didn't try very hard in the first place to be honest)

I used to do free clicks but they pretty much dwindled down into nothing so I ditched them as it just wasn't worth the effort to find that half didn't pay out anyway!

Used to do STP too but not for months and even back then it was getting very tedious! Barely moved off 2 stars and the quality of tracks was getting worse and worse.

As I suspected! The money making is definitely getting tougher these days. Might dip a toe in the STP waters just to see, I don't have any money in there as I never moved off 1 star, I have V92 whatever that means?! Have a couple of pounds on Ciao though so may as well finish copying my dooyoo reviews over.

Hi Zig, I would also like to join in the shoe worship, they are fabulous! Gorgeous colour.

Dinah - glad you've dried out now :) Its been grey here all day but just drizzly mainly, no monsoons! Although the rain did wake me up this morning, must have been passing over on its way north!

I would agree that currency is probably the best idea too Tete, although when my sister went travelling she asked me to buy her a travel towel, a tiny micro fibre thing that dries quickly and won't go mouldy or smell gross if you have to pack it damp - even now 6 years later she raves about how good it was! I can't remember where it was from or what it was called now though so not much help :o

And sorry for putting everyone off eBay! Sold two items on Amazon today so really pleased, especially as I was planning just to MMagpie everything but held back a few better priced bits at the last minute. Will update clicker once it has cleared (or disbursed or whatever that made up word they use for it is!)

    Hey Everyone

Have been away back home this weekend for the 'meeting of the tribes'. OH Mum and Dad flew over from Devon to meet my Mum and Dad in N. Ireland. All things considered I think it went well. OH Dad bored everyone a bit with his stories of past holidays :o My Mum and Dad are still quite negative / not excited about the wedding, but that didn't show through too much. I think for Paul and I that was probably more stressful that the wedding day :rotfl: And it's the last in a long line of crap / stressful stuff I have had to do since Uganda. My supervisors said they will postpone my supervision this month so I am officially freeeeee!!

There's still a long list of wedding stuff to do though :( hopefully that will be all sorted soon. Had a bit of dress distress when I went to pick up my wedding dress though. It was really tight at the last fitting and I put on 2lbs and i could hardly breathe with it on. But after a bit of stressing I realised that if I surrendered my huge padded bra it fits okay. So I have to go on a bloody slimming mission now - aaargh! Why could the lady not just have taken it in properly?

Went to see Harry Potter last night, it was great. Totally feels like the end of an era though. How funny did they all look at the end? Everyone was tee-heeing in the cinema.

    Hugs to you Zig.

    Tete - WELL DONE!!

Sounds like a stressful weekend Lara

I've started on my challenge. We finally paid off the j/a O/D so that's £369.42/£1000 paid for this challenge. How do I change my ticker??
