Just an idea flower but when I buy for newborns I always buy a pack of nappies, wipes etc cos I know how much they are appreciated by the parents. Maybe you could suggest the same to your parents/family to ease the cost on you a little bit.

Good idea and something that we have been very lucky with. I have various different sizes and brands of nappies some of which we have bought over the months, some both my parents and OHs parents have been putting in with their weekly shopping.

I think the logical part of my brain knows that we have everything we need (and probably more!), but then the worrier in me convinces myself we wont manage.

Am looking forward to unpacking all the bits and pieces we have in the new nursery as I think it will really show then how much we really have - which is pretty much everything :)

Hugs Flower, worrying just shows how much you care. This little baby is going to be so loved :) We all have most triumphant days as daughters, sisters, mothers, wives or girlfriends where everything is wonderful. Sometimes we have down days too, which we share with our partners, friends and parents. You're going to do great!!

It's getting so exciting with all these little babies on the way. CMD, I hope you get your wish for a September baby. Yay!

    Hi all,

Had a nice couple of days at my Mums. Went to see my Grandma and Auntie yesterday which cheered my Grandma up as she is getting a bit fed up of not being able to walk well etc at the moment. We went out for lunch which was good. Today we went to see the ducks and Poppy was helping pull bits of bread off for me haha.

Birdie - exciting the holiday is this month!

Poddle - Majorca sounds great, sure you will have a lovely time.

Flower - as the others have said you will be fine and baby doesn't need much. You will surprised how much stuff you get given too!

We should have a guess of when all the babies are going to arrive and how big they will be!

This is so true Flower! Sending big (but not squishing the baby) hugs. Sounds like time with your parents was just what you needed. I know whenever I feel like the world's dropping in a me a hug from my Mum or Dad makes everything feel a lot better. If you ever want to talk feel free to send me a PM.

Lara, this is my favourite tutorial for eyeliner. (Watch from about 5:50ish if you just want to see the eyeliner part.) It's just about messing around with looks and seeing what suits you really. It's taken me years to settle into my make up!

Love all this baby talk. Reminds me there was this kid in TGI Friday's last week who must have barely been one. He was chomping on a chip and being the most cutest gosh darn thing ever! Hope you're both not too over due with your little muffins.

Feeling rooobarsh today though, horrible cramps. Blahh! So I'm in my jammies, sat in bed. My Brother and the eveeil one are across tonight but I just want to stay in the toasty warmness and ignore them. They know where things are, I'm not that entertaining, I'm pretty sure they can just sort themselves out.

Hey Cinny thanks so much for the link, that's just what I was looking for. I also loved this one about makeup that doesn't look like makeup - yay! Although she uses *loads* of products and brushes, I sense a splurge coming on :rotfl: Maybe I will ask H for loads of makeup and girly stuff for Crimbo.

Sorry to hear you're poorly and the eeevil one is round!! Definitely just chill out - hope your OH is making you a nice tea.

That's the thing with make up, once you get into it - it gets bloody costly! I only have one or two high end bits of make up I use - MAC Fluidline (it's around £13 for a little pot that never seems to end) a Benefit blush that my Sister gave me and Benefit's eyebrow kit. The rest are 'drug store' ones that I love, I swear by Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and won't be without it tbh! It's a medium coverage but leaves your skin looking fresh and dewy. Just have fun with it, it did take me a good year to find all my holy grail products. You'll get there!

Last night wasn't too bad. I hauled my tush out of bed and put my post work out sweats on. She's not too bad atm to be totally honest, but it always goes like this. They'll have a big fall out, she'll be as sweet as cupcakes and then falls back into her old ways. I wish I could tell you all half the things she's done to make me not like her, but it isn't my place. I know that I just seem quite bitter about her without the back stories! :(

What's everyones plans for the weekend then?! :D It's my Brother's birthday tomorrow so I'm off out this afternoon to buy his present, we're sorting the back garden tomorrow morning though so I'll be pretty pooped and bored so ready for his Birthday tea to lift my mood!

Nothing planned at the min for weekend as OH is working tonight and overtime tomorrow night so he will spend most of it sleeping.

Good idea about getting make-up for Christmas Lara, make him get the posh stuff in duty free when you go away! :) It can be expensive building up the kit, but it's all good once you've got everything. I really have to have a sort out of my make up bag, I have loads of stuff knocking around in there (it's a massive bag!), most of which never gets used because I don't like it for one reason or another. I'm on the lookout for a new foundation though, I'm currently using a No. 7 one that my Mum got me and it's weird, feels really velvety which is just a bit... odd. It takes too much putting on too, I can't be bothered with spending ages blending it in properly, I just want to slap and go! I'd never switch from my Benefit blush or Lancome eye pencil (which I nick out of my Mum's free gift bags so very MSE!) though, I heart them a lot! :)

Glad last night with the wicked girlfriend wasn't too bad Cinny, I know people like that (horrid, then nice, then horrid again just as you all start thinking, 'Ah, she's not that bad really') and it's so wearing, I hope you poor brother sees sense eventually!:)

We're having a lazy (and cheap!) weekend, my parents are popping through on Sunday to drop off OH's birthday card for next week and to give us a cheque to bank then change into $500! Whoop! :D

Having a crappy day at work, my manager has been off all week, the other lady who is in charge when the manager is off is ill so it's just me and the odious kn0bhead guy left who is driving me mad. He talks to himself constantly which is only slightly better than when he talks to me in his awful patronising way, telling me how to do my job when he's the one who always c0cks things up, not me! All of my usual mates at work that I'd have a rant to are off on holiday too so I'm stuck going crazy with no release! Argh, hurry up 4 o'clock!!!

Very organised Wendz buying Christmas presents now! Although I always say that Christmas begins after the August bank holiday so I'd best get prepping! ;)
