Being naughty tonight though as going to Pizza Express with my friend. Will try to be good and have one of the lighter pizzas!

Ohh, I went there with OH a few weeks ago and had the 500 calorie one - it's delish! OH really didn't enjoy it there though, so we're not going back :(

And I really don't know, just one morning I woke up and thought 'Right, I'm going to do this!' and now it's just how it is. Bar I think 2 days, I've exercised for over an hour each day. I've certainly exercised at least a little everyday, even if I haven't written it down. Today's day 24.

It takes 21 days for something to become a habit though, so if you really want to be bikini ready push to workout and eat well everyday before you go. No cheats, no drop outs, no excuses. (as Jillian would say!) and you'll be ready for the beach :D I can't dish out motivation though, all that stuff is different to everyone. You've just got to push through and keep going.

And yep, it was Zig! As far as I know she's really happy with how it went. Must be an amazing thing to wake up one day needing glasses then - !!!!!!! - no more!

I always get a sore knife-finger at Pizza Express, the knives aren't very good and the bases are so hard I get finger ache from pushing too hard! I'll have to ask them to cut it up for me tonight! :o I tried the pizza with a hole in it a while ago (why's it got fewer calories? Because it's got a ruddy great big hole in the middle!) and wasn't masively impressed, but I think it's because I usually got for something spicy and it wasn't hot enough for me! I'll have to remember to ask for it with extra chillies, they're good for the metabolism too! ;)

I really do want to be good and exercise lots and eat healthily, but it's so hard, especially as I'm left to my own devices on an evening, it would be so much better if OH was around to kick my a$$ and cook decent meals with.

I'm really loving the idea of being able to see without glasses; no more wearing 3D specs on top of my own in the cinema and getting a sore nose, no more splashing about blind in the swimming pool and losing OH when he swims out of my line of semi-decent vision, no worrying about contacts popping out on rollercoasters (actually happened once!), ahh, it'll be amazing!

I think that's the thing. You've got to push yourself and be your own motivation. At the end of it, you're the one putting the food in your body and you always have the choice over good or bad. It's like with me and OH, OH doesn't want to eat healthily like I am so I make him basically what we used to eat. Yes, the temptation is always there to sneak some of what I've made for him and yes, it would be a hell of a lot easier to eat that way but I don't want to. I like how I am now, and how I'm feeling. It's worth the extra effort, so I just remember that. It's easy to fall back into old habits when you're not feeling it, but that's when you need to fight back at what you want. It's crazy how food has such power over people really!

And we're having chilli tonight packed with peppers and chillis and my excuse was 'ooh, it's good for the metabolism!' but then so is grapefruit, and I can't stand that! :A

That's great that you've managed to find that mindset, I used to have that correct mindset and motivation in spades, it's just deserted me right now! I'm sure that if I just stick to it it'll come naturally after a while, I think it's a bit of a cyclic thing, you feel good because you're looking after yourself so you carry on looking after yourself so you continue to feel good, it's just getting over the first hurdle so you start to feel good and the cycle can begin! :)

Hello! Busybusybusy here :( Just wanted to pop on and say that I've joined up to the fitness site Cinny (I'm LucyA82, please be my friend as I haven't got any at the mo!) Weighed myself this morning and I'm *gulp* 10:12.5! It's not all holiday weight either, I got into a mindset before I went away of being able to eat loads because of all the running I was doing ... but I wasn't actually doing THAT much. So back on the wagon.

Well done on the impressive weightloss Wendz haha!

Birdie I looked into the laser eye thing when Zig had hers done but it was so expensive because I'm quite blind :( If I won the lottery though it's be the first thing I'd do without a doubt.

Hope Dinah and NIM are having fun, I haven't seen too much about it on the telly but it does make me smile that she said she didn't feel right going to Japan so soon after a natural disaster and here they are heading straight into one! Yeah I know not on the same scale...

Right back to it. I hate work :(

I'm not that blind TBH, -1.25 & -2.25 which is fairly mild so I don't think it'll be that expensive, saying that I'm not having the cheapest procedure where they scrape the top layer of your eye rather than slice it (IYKWIM) as the recovery for that is horrendous according to 2 people I know who've had that done, they were pretty much blind for over a week afterwards and I just couldn't cope with that!

LOL yeah I meant to congratulate you on shedding some major baby weight Wendz! ;)

Is the fitness site that myfitnesspal thingy?

Yeah, it looks like a sort of cross between foodfocus and facebook. If you say you've been for a 10 minute run it sort of publishes to a news feed thing. I like the look of it :)

Oh that sounds pretty good, will have to have a look! The only thing that annoys me about these sites is finding the right foods to enter for your daily intake thingy, I always struggle with it! :o

Actually I've found it really good (only done what I've eaten so far today tho!) - it's had everything and been accurate - loads better than foodfocus, and it's all in units of 1 so one cookie rather than 20g worth of cookie so very easy. Not that I want to gush or anything! Now, should I enter this 10k fun run on Sunday in preparation for the GNR in 3 weeks?

All this diet and exercise talk is going over my head. Lol!

Well done on the weight loss Wendz. That is great.

I have been gorging myself on millionaire shortbread that I made the other day. It is very nice :)
