A babymoon is the big holiday you go on before you have a baby :)

    What's a babymoon?

Despite our honeymoon being significantly more expensive, I kind of see that as the relaxing holiday we needed after the wedding to prevent me blowing a gasket, and New York is the holiday I've always wanted to do. I'm going to be a demon when I come back though, will need to start planning or organising the next one to have something to look forward to.

See I didn't really need an expensive relaxing holiday after my wedding because Spain was relaxing in itself and we were over there for 11 days in total (& 6 of those days were after the wedding) so we were very chilled out before we went on honeymoon.

A few months after defo would have been the right time for us. I can understand why people who get married at home need a break straight away though.

Now that was pushing it a bit CMD! ;)

I had a bad dream last night about our honeymoon; we were in Epcot and there were loads of our friends and family with us, all expecting me to tell them where to walk and which rides to go on and where to eat and I had no idea as I had forgotten my plan and we were all really lost because I couldn't find a park map anywhere... and everywhere I looked OH's brother (the one who didn't leave us alone all wedding holiday!) was there! I woke up in a cold sweat, panicking that he was coming away with us!

I think 'relaxing' is the key - wherever it is! Obviously I wouldn't say no to an exotic luxury holiday :p

I think there is some pressure to do something amazing as a honeymoon, but only because you have a good excuse for it! I'd worry that people would judge me if I randomly went on a £5000 holiday. Though the more I plan a wedding, the less I care what people think - they can butt out!

Is Japan still on the cards for you and NIM?

Ugh, just found out I didn't get the job. It's frustrating as I could have been better prepared for interview but I wasn't sure I wanted it. Now I do :(

So glad you're free of your horrid job CMD and OH is being more supportive. You seem like a lovely family - some of your comments on the MMD made you sound like a lioness protecting her cubs.

    Ooh, babymoon...

Which charm did you get her? I have a Pandora bracelet and I love that all the charms remind me of something.

I think that people who judge others for spending money at any time on a dream holiday are just jealous! I know I am when I moan about it! ;)

With regards your wedding - just please yourself. You want the day of your dreams so don't let others dictate to you!

Thanks - OH is a good person, just scatty. I did feel a bit lioness like at times. I don't mind people telling me I have been stupid with money. I agree with that. I do mind people telling me that my children will miss out on things in life due to my debt. Max hasn't missed out on a thing and I know it will be paid off, at worst, in 2 years time.

So, the consensus is we need to get NIM pregnant to get him over his fear of needles.

Eeek, didn't know you could fly that late.

We'd still love to go but it feels wrong going and being tourists somewhere that has just had such a major disaster, so I guess we'll have to wait quite a few years. I think we're currently looking at either Cuba or China next year instead.

I'm really sorry to hear about the job, hopefulyl something else will come up in the field though now you know its where you want to be.
