So, the consensus is we need to get NIM pregnant to get him over his fear of needles.
:rotfl:
I'm really sorry to hear about the job, hopefulyl something else will come up in the field though now you know its where you want to be.
Thanks, I've still got the internship in October, but potentially could be out of work after Christmas, so I'd definitely have considered a less attractive permanent job for some security. Ah well, it's all good practice.
I wouldn't rule out Japan for that reason. I know it's a bit different, but people stop going to places like Sri Lanka because it feels like you're exploiting the cheap prices following a natural disaster, but actually tourism would have given the economy a massive boost.
It's difficult though, ethically. I'm DESPERATE to go to Cuba before the Americans ruin it, but I wouldn't want to go on an AI package. Hopefully it can wait until 2013!
China would be fascinating too.
Oh, and Borneo - amazing! CMD, you've been to Cuba too haven't you? I'm very envious of your hols! And you're right, if your children aren't missing out on anything - then having two happy parents is way more important. Aw thanks Poddle
No, I haven't been to Cuba, but like you, I want to go on a cultural holiday there rather than AI. I wouldn't say no to AI in the Maldives though!
Borneo was amazing and I am so glad we went there. To see the Orangutangs in their own environment was brilliant!
I think my holidays will consist of Europe and kiddies clubs for the next 5-6 years but I absolutely loved our holiday in Portugal this year, and was completely relaxed despite having a mad 15 month old in tow!
When the kiddies are a bit bigger I want to start bringing them to more far flung places and they can experience the cultural side of a country with us.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I can see what you mean, we've not made any firm decisions yet.
We're looking at a multi-centre trip in Cuba on a B&B basis. We seem to be able to do 10 days for around £990 each which seems reasonable, China would be a bit more at around £1295 + flights. These are with either Virgin or Intrepid depending on where we go and if we can russle up a load more Tesco vouchers!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

A babymoon is the big holiday you go on before you have a baby
Oh dontNot sure if I ever mentioned it, but OH and I were planning on going to America for 10 days in October. We were planning on booking it at the beginning of March - I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of Feb.
Such a good job we didnt book it, and obviously I am thrilled we are having the baby, but still feel a little sad when I think of my dream holiday that we probably wont have for years now!So, the consensus is we need to get NIM pregnant to get him over his fear of needles.
Yep I agree that is definitely the way to go :rotfl:
I used to be terrified of needles as well, and while I dont love the thought of them stabbing me now, I am not too bothered. So thats the answer NIM!
CMD - glad to hear you are feeling less stressed out now. Dont blame you for being protective over your babies (anyone would!), I have had a few comments off people with regards to having a baby while having debt. Some people just dont know when their opinion is not needed!! You sound like a fantastic mummy, and being in debt makes no difference to that at all!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
You've been right chatterboxes on here, I think I've just about been keeping up!
CMD - Glad things are getting sorted out, I was reading your MMD and getting so cross at those idiots! Made me think of this site http://www.globalrichlist.com/ (Have a play, its not perfect but its fun!) Even if you guys earnt £5k a year (which if you took your debt off an average salary is maybe about right) you would still be in the top 13% of the worlds richest people! Haven't those twits ever seen what real suffering some children go through, to say that Max is missing out is such nonsense. You can tell how loved he is and that's the main thing. *Climbs off soapbox*
Afraid prams go right over my head, I do think they would be useful to hold shopping though! Also know nothing about honeymoons but yours sounds lovely Lara
I'm on holiday now hooray, had a last minute rush but got away early and went to the beauticians. The races are on in York at the minute so as I was walking home in my post wax clothes I feel very unglamorous! Heading to a friends tomorrow to watch the inbetweeners film and stay over ready for an early start on Sunday, then 5 days in Spain. I'm bit stressed as I'm the organiser and it's my parents place so I'm worried the others won't enjoy it and it'll be my fault! - but figuring as long as the sun shines we'll have fun
Have a good week everyone
