Haha that's a suitably class pic!

I am trying to arranage our honeymoon but it's proving difficult. It was sort of supposed to be OH job but he did loads of research and then didn't get around to booking anything. I thought Italy would be quite reasonable but it's seriously expensive. I must be so out of touch on what things cost... I always think I have a massive budget and then it turns out to be around half as much as we actually need, LOL (£1600 2 weeks, flights and accom.). The last thing I want to be doing is spending years on the internet searching for a good hotel at the right price. Especially after having to research everything for the wedding. I just want to go and book a last minute deal anywhere, but OH wants something special and unusual, non-resorty blah blah. Not sure we will end up going anywhere at this rate!!

CMD that's an incredible amount to be paying off per month!! Dinah, that's so good you've only got 4 months left on your loan. It will fly by.

Despite being only a few months old I think Poppy would object to going out with you in that!

Gosh that might be a tight budget for somewhere non resorty for 2 weeks unless you fancy a city holiday? I'd think you could go travelling around places in Eastern Europe for that (Krakow is lovely) but even our cheapy 2 weeks in Egypt cost around that and you don't get more resorty than that! Really hope you find what you're looking for, and can wow us with holiday !!!!!!, knowing you I'm sure it will be very unique x

I hope you don't mind me butting into this Thread....but I noticed about the Honeymoon issue and thought I'd try to help!!

Quite often if you Book the Flight and Hotel separately it works out Cheaper....when you Book a Package thing you usually end up having to pay for the Convenience...

I would recommend somewhere like Morocco maybe? That way you could do a Dinner together in the Desert under the Stars??

Have a look at the Lonely Planet Website or www.bootsnall.com (I hope it's okay to post this Link, it's a Free Website to use and the Forum is free to use if you need it).

I would also agree with Eastern Europe but I would argue that it's maybe not so romantic....Krakow IS stunning but I mainly went because I'm fascinated by 2nd World War History...

What about somewhere like Prague? Romania is supposed to be very beautiful as well....

Also, I know it's not "the done thing" these days but there are some GORGEOUS places in this Country....what about somewhere like the Yorkshire Dales? Or Cheddar in Somerset (one of my favourite places in the UK)....or the Lake District? Or a nice Week away in the Highlands of Scotland?

    I hope that helps a little.... :)

Poor NIM. He only wants to take up clothes customization to earn a few extra pennies.

My cheque cleared this morning, so either y'all need to let me win the challenge, or count me out as that account is at 1k now. Waiting for OH to get home so we can book the holiday, order the new sofa chairs and some other bits. Found the fridge freezer we want at Boots so we can get 2200 advantage points :D

Hope you find a place for your honeymoon, Lara. Couldn't you stay in England? Have a couple weeks in St Ives or something?

Feeling rubbish today. Woke up at midnight to go hug the toilet bowl for a while so I've been a little lazy today and switched Zumba for the Shred and will only do an hour of free step. Anyways, hope everyone's having a nice day, and that the rain passes for you Wendz!

    Hi Lara,

I would recommend Croatia. I recommended there to my sister for last year and they loved it. It is a very special country and you can island hop, chill out, drink wine all day - and the scenery is spectacular!. If you have any questions don't hestitate to ask.

Won't be able to pay off that amount until the beginning of 2012 but at least I know things will start to look up for us financially then!
