I got one of those emails too on 9/1, and I haven't been refused. Soon after I was asked for proof of address etc, then the agreement came through which I signed and posted back.

Still haven't had the card or confirmation of the limit (although I have been able to calculate it from fantastic info further up this thread) but imagine it will be through soon.

Don't give up hope just yet.

I'd say you are probably not going to be refused mate. I got refused and they let me know this in a email within 48 hours.
I didnt get the we are dealing with it email first. Their first contact with me was to say I couldnt have it.

I applied online 8 days ago, still haven't heard a thing. Anyone else waited this long before hearing anything ?
