cazza did you phone them up, or just wait?? .... still waiting lol...
  • just got my agreement to sign today... I want to transfer over my Capital One card and close it... (It's one of those ones with a ridiculously high interest rate, but pretty much the only card I could get a year ago!)

Forgive me for being incredibly stupid (I'm sooooo new to all this) but how do I actually go about DOING that?! (i.e. transferring my balance) Can it be done online or anything? Again, sorry for the stupid questions but I'm a bit thick when it comes to credit cards, lol!

Also, is £1500 the lowest limit that M&S offer, or could it be lower than that? The Capital One credit limit is £1000, and I've used about £900 of that... so I was worried in case M&S decided to only give me £500 or something like that!

The Lowest Limit Is 500 According To There Website, You Transfer By Phoning Up, You Can Transfer All 900 If Your Limit Is 1500,

Im Still Waiting For My Decision, I Applied Online On The 22nd......
Dunno If I Should Phone Or Wait A Bit Longer.....

Hello lowdenclear, you can find out what your credit limit is on your yellow copy, look for other financial info it will give you a charge for credit usually based on £1500.

Further up the thread is a list of the credit limits based on the charge for credit

    eg £ 131.08 = £ 1,500 limit

whe your agreement has got back to M&S and your card is issued you have to phone up to activate the card i did this and asked the operator to do a balance transfer there and then which she did no probs, also in the card info is a leaflet to post off a request to do the same, all for 0 % transfer fee as most now charge up to 3% to do this, so another saving :)

    regards M
