  • Thanks. Have had it a few months but used a different card for a BT and would now like all debt on one card. Haven't used it for a BT before but would need more than an extra £1000 to enable me to transfer it all. Will give them a ring and ask. Thanks again.
  • still nothing from M&S for me... :(

I got rejected :( Is it worth ringing them to find out why??? :(

Thats 4 cards in a month that have rejected me!!

I'd suggest getting a copy of your credit files to see if anything wrong is showing up on there. And stop applying for credit as you are only making the situation worse at the moment

Hi krayzechick - creditexpert only shows you the financial records recorded by Experian so to be absolutely sure there's nothing wrong on your records you'd need to also have a look at Equifax and CallCredit too as there are 3 credit reference agencies. Have you done this? If not you can get a free trial with equifax and can simply send away with a £2 cheque to callcredit.

I'd echo was Phoenix says - don't apply for any more credit at the moment until you can pin down why you are being rejected as you will just continue to get even more rejections on your account and this could make it extremely difficult for you to get credit in the future.

If it turns out that there is nothing unusual on your credit files then unfortunately if may just be that you have quite high credit limits being used elsewhere or you were rejected for one card and since you applied for a second, third and fourth quickly afterwards they all rejected you too. If you have any cards with high limits that you are not using make sure to close them down as this is all taken into account when weighing up whether to reject you or not. I hope you manage to work it out.

    Regards

    Michelle

I did an Experian report thing a few months ago and everything was fine (im on the electrol roll etc)

I have debt, but not as much as other people I know who seem to get credit easy peasy! Its just frustrating! :wall:
  • I phoned up to activate my card last night (£6000 limit) and do a BT. They let me up my limit to £7000.
    Sorted!!
    Very pleasant customer service guy.

Don't apply for anymore for the next 6 months and make sure you pay well on any current cards you have (more than minimum etc)

Each card would have seen your previous refusal and thought hmmmmm we'll refuse too, and it snowballs.
