Hello YB thanks for the reply,Maths isnt my strong point but got better as i got older :)

The credit limit would be a help if it covers my other cards even at 3.9 % would be a great help in reducing my interest payments :)

    Regards M

Yes £5000 limit for you and at 3.9% with no BT fee get all your debt on there!

No more stupidly high interest payments :T

I've had to spend £300 this weekend on my credit card, I used my MBNA and tonight rung up M&S and did a £300 balance transfer - so make sure you don't spend at all on you M&S cards if you are using it for BT's. Use another card and then BT accross.

Be careful, since (it appears) BT fees are likely to be introduced on the M&S card.

I was able to Transfer from an HSBC Gold card without any problem, even told the operative that it was an HSBC account without any issues...

    Lucky I guess!

Same was true for me on my HSBC gold card.

Had M&S card now for well over a year and have done about 4/5 balance transfers over the course of a year and everytime have been offered 0% for 6 months with no fees. Didn't even have to ask for 0% was just offered it as a matter of course.

    Regards

If you want to be clever and stooz a few pounds purchase $'s and exhange it back with another exchange (Co-op,Travel supermarket etc)at a more favourable rate.
    good luck.

The spread on buy/sell exchange rates would make this expensive though, wouldn't it (like 6% or more)? or am I missing something?
