jules68 wrote:sorry silly question but when you get your card do they send you cheques as well to balance transfer at the 3.9% .As i have a loan of roughly 5000 at 7.9% and was wandering if it would make sense to transfer or not
from what i have read the m&s card only does balance transfers from other credit cards or store cards, not loans, i think anyway0 -
Mine took about 10 days, and they upped the limit on the phone. I bought sterling travellers' cheques over the internet. I am hoping to get M&S vouchers for the money I've spent. Does anyone know if I will. If you are buying M&S stuff do it through QUIDCO as they give 5%cash backWombling £457.410

Has anyone who's an existing card holder managed to get the 3.9% BT for life of balance? I've tried but will only give me 9.9% for 6 months.

Are you trying to t/x your existing M&S card to the new one or has the new one only given you 9.9%?0 -

Had the card for 12 months or so but not used it. So thought i'd phone them and ask about 3.9% etc. But it's "brand new customers only!"
After reading Martin's tips am having a credit card springclean and in the process of closing some of my old cards with nil balances that i used either just to tart or not used in ages, so thought it was worth asking them."A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." I love MBNA for there balance transfer deals.
You have a large balance with them, the 6/9 months low interest deal runs out they won't offer you anything decent after that so BT to another card. A week later they send a letter offering BT rate of 0% for 6 months.
Rinse and repeat. (happened to me x3 times now) lol0 -
i am confused, DH got a M and S card last month and has balance transfered from and first direct card (which is HSBC) or is this different?0
