andy i can tell you straight away that you will end up going through the FOS for your money from GE. I put in my complaint this morning. Basically, GE owe me £170.21 (inc interest) and have offered £36. Not happy. Can i ask how long it took you to get your result through the FOS?

Egg somehow wangled their default fee to be above the threshold. The explanation was they require customers to pay the minimum repayment by Direct Debit.

Hi I have started my claim with Abbey and now wish to commence one with Egg in respect of a loan I previously had with them. My problem is that I cleared the loan account about and year and a half ago and now dont have any information of the account number etc. Also I remember at the time when I took out the loan, that I had to take out insurance with the loan. I really I want to check if I was charged the full amount of the insurance when I cleared the loan early but have no way of checking what actually I paid to close the account. ANy ideas would be a great help

How do i get to see egg card statements which are over 12 months old? You can view them online for the last 12 months but can't find out how to look at older ones and as this is all done online I have no paperwork.

    thanks
  • Hello, have been looking on here over the last few weeks and think the site is great -n however i have been looking to see if anyone has mentioned Egg credit card and any success on reclaiming charges from Egg?

I have £250 approx worth of charges in the last 6 years and think i will probably try and reclaim these - they can only say no they have already closed my account! it will help towards the balance of what i owe them! i just wondered if anyone had reclaimed and had any luck?

i am currently have a claim in with Natwest for around £2000 and like the rest of the world am still waiting........ lol! (although i notice on here a lot of people are recieveing money back from various banks - none have mentioned Natwest tho! anyone know why this is?) Thanks!
  • Hi Guys,

About 3 years ago, i missed one payment for my Egg Card. Fair enough i accepted that it would cost me a charge and maybe a mark on my credit file. I paid the outstanding amount (£3000) in full the following month.
Whilst applying for a mortgage last year, i noticed it was a bit of a struggle.

Looking into it, i noticed that Egg had not bothered to amend my credit file as balance satisfied. It had been showing as £3000 owed for all that time.
    It is sorted now but.....

This destroyed my credit score and i've been struggling since. I've no doubt that rates on my mortgage and loans, credit cards that followed have been increased as a result of this.

Does anyone know if i can take some sort of action for what they neglected to do. Thinking about card and loan rates since this, they owe me thousands i bet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    dave
