Hang on. Why's the price gone up to £188 950? Surely even an MSE thread is not that powerful.

That road has the worst crime rate in the city.
It's also used as the local cruising site for the cities petrol heads.
    10 nightclubs within 100 yds.
Road used by 10,000 Hull City supporters to park every 2 weeks.
Was badly affected by flooding in 2007

    Does that help? :D

the above is unlikely to be true!!

I don't know Hull, so I don't know if that is a total wind-up or completely true?

It's a £2m house in good parts of London.

I think it's lovely, sorry OP. I don't get the "link detached", though, it's a terrace!

This is what you get for that sort of money where I live:

    A 1 bed, high-rise, ex-council, 290 sq feet all in.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I did a quick check on the Police crime map, and that part of Hull has 3 times the crime level of where I live in London.

umm, don't your neighbourhood employ private security to keep the unwanted away?

Some of my neighbours pay several hundred a year for a security patrol for their houses. I don't think it's reduced crime, but it makes them happier. For example, one of my neighbours is an elderly lady living on her own. She calls them before she gets home, and they see her safely into the house. In any case, i did the figures for teh whole of N2.

NDG's area is 8 times higher than mine, whilst yours is about the same as mine. I don't think the figures are corrected for the amount of population in the area, as some of the figures seem very low. Try Cuffley, for example. That may be because Cuffley is peaceful, but I think that it's mainly because the circle they draw round Cuffley contains loads of fields where nobody lives.

If you read the rightmove description, you'll find the garage belongs to the house the OP is considering buying, so that and the van will not be a problem.

Ooops - my mistake!!! Hmmm... have kind of run out of reasons in that case :D

Is it a repossession or similar?

If so, the risk of being outbid at any time up to exchange is relatively higher because of the publicity which has to be given to such sales.
