I'm sorry - why did you put it there if you didn't want people to see it? It's there, (well, it was) to the left of your post, for goodness sake! He doesn't have to go looking for it!

.... didn't say that I didn't want people to see it, I just forgot it was there - I probably did it one day when I was bored and thought nothing more of it. Then get into a debate online with someone and felt a bit taken aback that it was looked at, as I forgot it was there. There's no great story behind it. Way off topic now..

Well since you asked, and you shouldn't ask questions unless you ar are prepared to hear the answer, because I find it a bit.....creepy that you were looking at it to be honest. Then you looked at it again to know I've removed it, which I did because of aforementioned creepy feeling. But thank you, as you made me realise I don't want random people looking at my picture. I don't look at other profiles and wasn't really expecting anyone to look at mine.

Maybe you don't know this, but if you have adjusted the settings, a persons avatar shows with every post they make (right under their name).

So, Lotus was not the only person to have noticed your avatar and that it subsequently disappeared. I did too.

I don't believe that Lotus did anything at all creepy there.

I expect to spend the rest of my life with DH. I expect that my children will grow up and move on. The love may be different but each enhances the other. I would love my husband without my children, and my children without my husband but it is enriching and ever-growing because I have them all.

    How lovely. :T:T:T
I love how all relationships used to be like that before the good old days of divorce at the drop of a hat.

I grew up knowing no divorced parents, no unhappy kids watching loveless marriages. I guess I must have imagined my entire childhood!

No I think if couple make that commitment they should work at it. I think these days many people cut and run on a whim, don't work at things and just look for a new exciting option if they get bored or what is the term 'grow apart'. It's consumerism marriage.

    It's exactly that.

Thankyou, I don't think I'm creepy, I don't try to be anyway. How can you miss that your avatar is up on every post you make?

And I like sluts btw, so I find it funny you are all arguing about it :D

I was only going by your avatar. If it isn't you and you are a much older lady, then it may be false advertising.

You want the man to be the protector, the big man, old fashioned love. Yet you don't want the traditional role for women, it that not a bit double standards? You want to be equal, yet when push comes to the shove, you want men to be the ones that makes the ultimate sacrifice.

All the men I know well enough to have a pint with, would undoubtedly die for their families, without a thought.

Ahh here's WW's wading in. I wasn't the one to bring up a man dying for his woman. Speak to Taadaa about that.

Hubby an i do most things together we talk we go out we have fun :D I prefer him being in control of the cash comming in as i would rather spend it on our kids an him an the pets obv lol

I love him looking after me,we have both worked both brought our lads up
he was a squaddie, went out a lot over to the camp, always came home to me,i would be at home or in one of teh wives homes
we can now talk about anything an everything, yep we had some crap times but we have had amazing times

I do believe an probably get jumped on this for saying it but ahhhh well
when people get married its for keeps unless they beat you,the kids abuse you then yea i totally understand why people should leave

If my boys treated thier partners badly by cheating on them coz it was easy to get leg over or what ever i would be ashamed an if my legs still worked i would chase them from one end of the estate to the other same as i would if thiert girlfriends did it

Our lads were talking the other night about 1 thier mates cheating on thier girlfriend they were all discusted by it an told the lad so
    proud moment for me/us

Lotus eater love the way you think
i love the way mu hubby looks after me
It's an honour having such a lovely family and being welsh, what more could a girl want :rotfl:

    I don't see any mention of men there.....do you?[/QUOTE]

    I have to agree.

Most of the time when a girl sleeps around she is called !!!!!!,slag, loose woman etc. Men are jack the lad, lucky git, etc.

I still believe even now, it does seem somehow, that it is not ok for women but it is for men.

I agree ''!!!!!!'' refers to a woman, but really very rarely see it applied for ''promiscuous'' behaviour now, just....well....other stuff in combination with promiscuous behaviour (perceived poor behaviour, lack of concern about sexual health or birth control, social boundries...e.g. making overt passes at people with partners). Its not a nice word at all, however and certainly not one I make a habit of using.

Also, I think the thing about promiscuity is perhaps different in different areas and groups. I don't think in my immeadiate circle that number of partners is an issue for anyone. OTOH, I think, in retrospect I perhaps wouldn't have been promiscuous as I was when younger: I feel that perhaps if anything the social norms were that more is better...in retrospect I very sincerely don't think that's so...I think what is ''best'' is personal, individual and shouldn't really impact on anyone else....unless, combined with poor hygeine, attention to sexual health, birth control and where causes discomfort or worse by being ''inappropriate'' or harmful to others. I feel that regardless of the sex of the people involved.
