^^^^ Lotus eater, still waiting for you to explain the criteria for someone getting ideas above their station.
Unless of course, your silence indicates you are backtracking, in which case you might look like a bit of an idiot. ;-)
I don't have to backtrack to not answer a question you asked.... I think you'll find that in the dictionary.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
But generally in society, people consider a !!!!!! to be female. I object to that. Also don't agree that behaviour should be described, because it amounts to judgement. It really isn't anyone's business, except those that are directly invovled.
You're right. Generally, people do, and it annoys me too.
Generally, if a guy acts the same way he's called a 'stud' by some, or more commonly these days a 'player'.
Everybody judges, every day. It's normal, human behaviour.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Because language is descriptive and used to communicate with others.
The words themselves are not damaging, but people take specific words to be damaging. For instance TaaDaa for some reason thinks !!!!!! implies female. It doesn't. In fact the word is rather generic, it has no boundary or measurable attribute in which it can be measured.0 -

It doesn't need to be talked about by other people, unless it is negatively affecting others of course. But, as you will note from my posts, I don't talk about it as a general rule.
That's my point. It shouldn't need any words, because it shouldn't be something that's remarked upon.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

The whole business of cheating on a partner is just stupid really. If you want to cheat just leave the person you're with - but think it through.
My partner, who i've settled down with was hit on when she was 17 by a married man of 3 children. (then 36 or something).
Well, the guy left his wife immediately at least but did he really think this girl would stay with him? She's extremely stunning, and very intelligent so it was never going to be long before she left him.
And here, I step in. We got close while she was still with him, but never getting up to anything. Just became very friendly and I guess an attraction began to develop more deeply as time went on.
We had known each other for a few years previous as we work in the same company, although in different departments.
I had just came out of a long term relationship and was ready to be single for a while as I couldn't be bothered.
I suddenly started to find this girl more and more attractive and had never met anyone I got on with so well. I knew she was living with someone but one day I just told her - I really like you! You know...
Not long after she had told her partner she wasn't happy but due to helping support his mortgage and him still having kids to suppose she didn't want to just up and leave. So we just remained friends but she told me after a few months it would be sorted.
And it was. Neither of us have ever been happier.
However, if she had been willing to cheat on him with me, it would have played on my mind. Not that much as the age difference meant it was more understandable for her to want someone else.
But, the main thing was she wouldn't cheat on him, and so everything worked out perfectly in the end.
Justs because your with someone you think you feel a lot for doesn't mean you won't meet your perfect partnere, the love of your life. As long as you're both mature about the whole thing, there is no reason why it can't work out.0 -

It is NOT just me that thinks !!!!!! is used as a derogatory term for women who have 'too many' sexual partners. Don't get me started on this one.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Well since you asked, and you shouldn't ask questions unless you ar are prepared to hear the answer, because I find it a bit.....creepy that you were looking at it to be honest. Then you looked at it again to know I've removed it, which I did because of aforementioned creepy feeling. But thank you, as you made me realise I don't want random people looking at my picture. I don't look at other profiles and wasn't really expecting anyone to look at mine.
Sounds like a cop out to me.
I'm sorry - why did you put it there if you didn't want people to see it? It's there, (well, it was) to the left of your post, for goodness sake! He doesn't have to go looking for it!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

The word is taken by some as being disparaging, but is the word actually disparaging? The answer of that question surely lies with your view of the scenario. There's a word for every sexual choice and behaviour, some that many once considered disparaging are now no longer viewed as such. For instance would describing someone as gay be disparaging? The word itself has no bad leaning, the context in which someone delivers it can lend that to it.
That means it's not the word it's the delivery, which also means removing the word will not work as a new method of delivering that particular feeling will be generated, as is the way with the evolution of language.
I personally think those arguing for differences in male and female sexual behaviour are living in the past. I can't say I know anyone under the age of 40 that would view any difference in terms of how they view anyone regardless of gender based on their sexual preferences.0
