There was nothing particularly offensive in what she said. It was ....bumptious I think I described it as before.0 -

bump·tious/ˈbəmpSHəs/
Adjective: Self-assertive or proud to an irritating degree
Since when has being bumptious (or irritating!) been sufficient reason for ganging up against someone? It's not as if she was offensive. We have all had our say, but for some reason radiography was picked on, unfairly I'd say.
(Silly of me to ask for examples, as obviously the posts aren't there now.)
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

The poster deleted some of her posts yesterday and the rest today, but some are quoted in post 2101, 2138, 2151, 2153, 2164, 2165, 22080

quick bump for any news!
Hope things go well for you. You don't sound like the typical "other woman" I have heard some tales from my friends, of the other woman turning up at Christmas, childrens' parties etc, to make him break up with the wife.
One turned up with her mobile with naked pics of my friend's hubby and she shouted that she was pregnant so everyone got a free show!
Had a think about this :undecided
The one where the other woman turned up with the naked pics, was a
member of my family.
He had young children, a good job and a lovely wife. A lovely home.
He had everything!
He is just a randy sod. He tried it on with my daughters friends (older teenagers)
He sarted carrying on with this girl and i assume she got fed up of him telling her he would leave his wife, so she went round with the "proof" to split them up.
He got chucked out, and the girlfriend took him in, but they broke up after he got another girl pregnant0 -

Honestly, I think if you wade in with big boots you have to expect a flood....I don't think she was given worse than she got.
FWIW, I did point out at the time that in their posts on that subject noone was acting their age in their replies. I wrote whjat I thought was a thought out courteous responce, which was also snapped a bit at...which is fair enough. If you raise something, like an age, you have to expect people might choose to comment on that. When Aspergers was raised I felt it was an effort to understand her p.o.v.0 -

I totally agree with you.
Whilst I also appreciate PTN's demeanour on this thread and would always wish anybody happiness in life, I am quite amazed by the 'fan club' she has gained here, given the circumstances.0 -

I've become a ''fan'' of several posters on this thread...to be able to discuss something contentious with such a small amount of disruption, and yet steadfast opinions, shows pretty admirable communication skills on the parts of most of the contributers.0 -

If it had descended into bickering and nastiness it wouldn't have lasted 9 pages, never mind still going at 119!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I think that is the key, essentially, I hold the same opinions as the poster who has deleted her posts but wouldn't express them in the way she did, and then defend them by stating she intended to be rude.0

I agree and it is refreshing.
(Although I was referring to the personal, praise-like comments that have been cropping up more recently and my feeling that the thread is more one sided and less balanced somehow. Or maybe that's untrue and the feeling I'm actually picking up now is simply less 'them&us' which can only be a good thing. Not sure.:D)0
